It was basically a serious story about what if these two never confess till Ruhi is older. Then Ruhi grows up and thinks Ishima and papa are in this marriage only for her, and maybe her father still loves Shagun.

So Ruhi (subtly influenced by Adi, who's brainwashed by Shagun) because of her guilt tries to bring Raman and Shagun together thinking she should not keep her Ishima in this burden

but that actually paves the way for Raman and Ishita to actually speak up about their feelings... and Shravan who is Ruhi's best friend actually explains to her that if Ishita and Raman didnt love each other, they wouldnt have stayed together 😳
