A woman walks into a bachelors party by mistake...a group of men from the so called elite families, successful businessmen...(though they looked like thugs to me)...round her up goading her to join them...calling names insulting her...she somehow escapes and they expect her to be shamed...of what ????

What about those men who probably have wives, daughters and sisters at home...stooping to these standards...And then you have one of the lot daring to assault her physically...under the pretext of biwi hai toh ghar mein rakhna tha...seriously.

Why aren't the men who stoop to these levels guilty ?

Why are they not shamed ?????

Our society and its weird sense of morality, the logic is incomprehensible and it will never fail to astound.

Just a topic for debate...not meant to create unwarranted furore...

These people will learn when it will happen with their own wife and sisters.
They shd get strict punishment, so that in the future , they will not repeat the same thing with other ladies.

CVs should give a proper closure of this harassment track. Men involved, specially the guy physically harassed Ishita must not go unpunished by the law.

A very thought provoking topic!
I am keeping aside the whole plan and its need in this story.

Just commenting on the whole scenario. I was thinking about the same. A woman lands up there unknowingly or by a conspiracy of perverted minds but the whole clan of the so called elite men easily became the pawns in that game. None of them, not a single man there raised voice against what was happening. None of them tried to save a woman in such a big problem.
The men behind the plan are disgusting but added to them, every man present there were equally disgusting and perverted.

I know the whole intention was to humiliate her and all the men there were players in Suraj's treacherous game but it really talks a lot about the whole clan there...really a group of leaches! Really depicts the present day society and why the crimes against women are on a rise!

I had mentioned this somewhere. They say history often repeats itself. In age old times, in the epic Mahabharat, a helpless Draupadi was humiliated in the full fledged court. In every age, women happen to end up victims to such humiliation and much more. It will continue till there are men who dont respect women for what they are and treat them or see them as means of entertainment.
I am not generalizing anything against the entire men population but all I wish to say is that some perverts cause shame to the entire gender.

Yes I really hope they get punished...else it would imply that such men can do anything and get away easily!

I dont want Raman to get into trouble doing this but I want them to be taken care by law and justice happens!

Completely agree to ur views n sadly its d truth, good people dont ce forward to help. Also there have been times when good people wanted to help a victim but got robbed etc on highways. In this case looks like Ashok has like minded friends.

Great post and very thought provoking question: They expect her to be ashamed of what?
Well sadly this is a horrendous reality of our society, particularly Indian society, where the woman is always blamed, regardless of whether it is her fault or not, regardless of whatever the situation was, regardless of what happened, regardless of anything. In this case too, the woman will bear the brunt of these "men's" actions. She will be traumatized by this experience forever, while these so-called "men" will move on with their lives, living as though nothing happened, forgetting the event's of the night almost immediately unless it is to further insult her. She will be shamed because it is she who will remember this incident for the rest of her life and shake in fear from the awful memories. It is she who will spend sleepless nights from having nightmares about this experience. It is she who will be ridiculed and gossiped about in society if anyone even gets a whiff of this news.

We always prevent our daughters, wives, sisters, mothers, female friends, etc from going out after a certain time, from wearing "provocative" clothes, from following their dreams because we raise the men of our society to objectify women and treat them like property rather than actual human beings. This is where our society's morals and mentality stem from. It's extremely sad but it's the ultimate truth.
