Time slot change is the main factor. A prime time show must garner high TRP, otherwise it will go off air; that's is how it rolls. Yes, even before moving to the new slot we watched some silly tracks like Param re-entry and Shagun in Ishra bedroom but that's because CVs were unsure how to proceed the storyline considering the change of time. Those three weeks we saw some silly stuffs along with some bold stuffs because CVs were hell confused. Pankaj Bhatia (Bala) confirmed their confusion tweeting they were unsure about the change and it's repercussion. Accident track had one loophole only, showing Adi as the culprit. otherwise, we got to see best emotional portrayals of both the leads throughout the accident track. In fact both KP and DT gave their best during this track imo and it had a proper closure too.

I don't blame CVs directly, I blame SP and their greed for higher TRPs. Poor fellows (CVs) have to face two massive drawbacks, time slot change and complete destruction of sets in a very short span of time. So they had to reshuffle their storyline accordingly. Time slot change was massive one and I guess both CVs and actors were not happy about it either sensing they had to compromise with the quality of the show. They were confused about the dual time slot too and we saw some silly tracks like Param re-entry at Bhalla house and Shagun in IshRa bedroom for that. After the changed time slot, we got unnecessary Mani track which in the end didn't have a closure at all and the show got ruined even more with the absurd Shagun marriage ceremony circus. But these ridiculous tracks garnered huge TRPs which indicates TRPs will decide the final call. We can only hope but the show's quality is heavily compromised.

Everyone that's saying that these tracks bring high trps. I don't agree. This serials trps had come from positive word of mouth. It was bound to get high trps no matter what and will continue to no matter what tracks they show. But now it's just a nonsense typical Ekta serial and not a unique, mature or different story which was was promised.

Some people who I told them about this serial previously about it being mature, different and more realistic and now they start watching and saying its a typical Ekta serial nothing different.
