Cupid was full of it
I've never been the lucky one.
I've lost more than I've ever won.
I'm not more fortunate than most
Life is not something through which I can coast.
Love never came my way
And searching only brought dismay.
So I stopped looking, I just quit.
Cupid was full of it.
But slowly, surely you came to be...
Serendipity was good to me.

What a lovely episode of things that are and things that are meant to be. A couple tied into a marriage of convenience for the sake of their daughter are now happily strolling along the adventurous path of love. While they walk along this rather long path of love, hand in hand, unsure of the direction or the destination and that is the magic of love. Love is about present, love is about the current moment, love is reminiscing, love isn't about the destination it's about the journey.
The difference between a moment of joy and a moment of sadness is right timing. Ishita and Raman were engaged but the timing wasn't right to seal the deal for a lifetime, so they did the next best thing, they sealed the deal to protect their daughter for a lifetime. They joined in union by a plastic ring made by a 6 year old, on that momentous day a ring that cost nothing gave birth to 2 new relationships: A father was born that day and mother was born that day. Today a ring that monetarily cost 15 lakhs but emotionally cost a man, a broken marriage, betrayal, 6 years of grief and remorse, gave birth to a priceless relationship: his soulmate. It has often been said that the difference between the love of your life and your soulmate is that the former is by choice and the later isn't. Today Raman locked the deal for a lifetime with his soulmate, it wasn't a choice, this had to happen, it was just a matter of when after all it is all about timing.
That unfortunate night when Raman in all his drunkard state was trying to make Ishita his, to lock the deal for life, but it is all about timing. The timing wasn't right, that moment contained a man in an inebriated state full of doubt, mistrust, and anger trying to make his wife his own. We saw an animal in form of Raman that night trying to snatch what he thought he deserved. Compare that night to the moment of this day, a moment contained a man drunk in love, his mind full of faith, trust and his heart full of passion trying to make his wife is own. Today we saw a lover in form of Raman trying to earn what he thinks is his. Raman talked a lot today while Ishita stayed mum, Raman asked all the questions and provided all the answers. This morning he asked her if he could approach her compared to the night when he tried to force himself on her, he asked her if is she sure, is the deal locked, and then he proclaimed now there is now turning back. Raman in the presence of the day's clarity answered all the shadowy doubts of the night's haziness.
Raman proved today to be the most shrewd and successful businessman; he successfully locked the most important deal of his life and it only cost him a little soul searching, some courage, a tiny bit of jealously and a heart full of love. After all, cupid is indeed full of it!
Update
Got a few PMs to add a song to the post, and since I was in the JT zone today two songs came to mind 1) Mirrors and 2) Not a Bad thing. Could'nt decide which to use so i'll post both 😊
Not a bad thing
I know people make promises all the time
Then they turn right around and break them
When someone cuts your heart open with a knife and you're bleeding
But I could be that guy to heal it over time
And I won't stop until you believe it
'Cause baby you're worth it
Mirrors
You are you are the love of my life
PS: Ruhi is baaackkk! The cupid is back! I wish I had time to explore the beautiful scene of the trio but real life beckons
PPS: I like how Neelu was creeping on Ishra today.
PPPS: This poem fits Ishita-Raman to the T, but then again I think every thing fits them to the T. My fangirling has reached an embarrassing level.
