Since I hate leaving things unfinished and since Anku is still reading I am going to finish this in two parts. First part is going up soon, the next within a week. I started writing this during the Shagun Ashok wedding so obviously its all out of date but bear with me please.

Please please do. I thought you are not going to update it now since it has been so long n I have been checking for it time and again n finally stopped but the moment I saw UPDATED I was like yes!!!!!yes!!!!!yesss! Next part is up. O YAY! so Pls do update.

Part 9A

Khanna Mansion

Ashok Khanna sat at one end of the 13 seater Sheridan dining table which was the centrepiece of his deluxe dining room.

His silent yet seething brother sat next to him, the smirking Param on his other side.

"Are you sure Ashok?" Suraj asked again for the umpteenth time.

"Yes, yes, yes Suraj, I'm sure, I told you I have no choice. She knows too much, I have to do this"

"If you want, toh hum uska kaam tamaam karde Ashok ji?" Param drawled slowly.

"No, don't you dare" snarled Ashok. "She told me last night that she made arrangements in case anything should happen to her. No, I'm stuck with her. She wants the wedding on Saturday. Make all the arrangements Param"

Param raised his eyebrows and helped himself to more toast.

"Theek hai Ashok ji, jaise aap ki marzi" he was just saying, as Shagun waltzed into the room.

"Good morning all" she said chirpily, stopping by Ashok's chair to exchange an air kiss.

"Good morning Shagun darling" the words tasted as bitter as bile in Ashok's throat. "Bitch" he thought to himself. "You damn bitch"

Shagun settled into a chair next to Suraj and gave him a pointed look.

"Good morning...bhabhi" he spat out. "Bitch" he too engaged in similar mind talk as his brother. "The damn money hungry bitch"

The next glance was for Param.

"Good morning Shagun ji" he leched at her. "Hai" he thought to himself. "Nayi maal mili Param tujhko. Ache din hai beta"

"So Ashok, have you told Suraj and Param about our wedding plans?" Shagun quizzed Ashok, raising an immaculately shaped eyebrow.

"Yes ...darling" he responded. "Param sab taiyari kardega."

"Sab nahi darling" she trilled back at him."I'll choose my outfit and jewellery of course"

"But Shagun you have an outfit, just wear all that again"

Shagun threw back her head and laughed.

"No way Ashok baby, you know I don't repeat outfits. And besides that outfit is manhoos for me now. Bad luck. Mein toh aaj hi designer ke paas jaongi. Oh and of course I'll need new jewellery to match. Bill tumhe mil jayega"

"Fine"

Ashok stood up abruptly, flinging his napkin on his plate, his chair wobbling as he flung it back. "Suraj, Param, lets go"

Shagun watched the men as they walked away and then laughed exultantly, looking around the opulent mansion where she was again to be chatelaine.

"Mine" she shouted. "All this is mine. Mera, sirf mera. Paisa, shauhrat, everything is mine. And I'll make sure, I'll make sure that bas***d Ashok can never leave me, never"

She did not noticed in her triumph the boy who stood at the door, bag in hand. Ashok had not noticed him either as he had swept past with Suraj, muttering obscenities against Shagun.

Adi stared at his mother in confusion. Ashok dad had been saying such horrible things about mumma, and here mumma was, saying such awful things about Ashok dad. But...but they..they were getting married, weren't they? Then why?

He backed slowly out of the door. Mumma must be tired, that's why, maybe he should .. he stared at Mihika, who had brought him over. Mihika looked at Adi with compassion.

"Adi" she said, bending down and grabbing his bag. "I think we should come back after your mumma's wedding, hmm. Mumma abhi busy hai, how about we go and get Mihir mama and go for a coffee and ice cream,hmm?"

Adi nodded and followed Mihika to her car. "Im bringing him to jeeju's house" she quickly texted Mihir before driving off.

And in her mansion, Shagun continued to laugh.
