They don't roam in the same circles, and that's why never bump into each other ever. So they are surprised and wonder when they see each other at the club. For a second he does not recognize her, she looks very everyday, a pair of jeans and a Tshirt and for her, he looks just like him, looking at her leaving her wondering. They are here with separate set of friends and for some very very odd reason she does not want to have a conversation, but then just then he waves at her, and she smiles back, wants to leave, and then she waves. He senses her hesitation, he turns around and joins the rest of his friends.
They don't know what happened or how it happened but suddenly their groups have sat down together at the lounge area in the balcony, everyone discussing Box Cricket wondering what it shall be like for their careers. She is at the other end of the table making a call, he is at this end the smokers end, she will never come here, he knows, she is on the phone, he knows. She is playing with her phone, her ride is busy having a drink, he is at the other end having a smoke of course, he isn't going to leave that.
They don't look at each other, participating in every conversation around them, laughing and making jokes, when someone talks about food, and someone says gotta leave. That's when they look up. Her ride is still here, he is relieved, she wonders, he announces he is around late shoot tomorrow, she is relaxed. Some friends leave.
They don't know how, and they have not thought of it, but now they are seated next to each other. He is cracking jokes, his back adjacent to her, she is looking at pictures on her phone. His friend takes a call. He crushes his cigarette and with elbows on the table, half turns to her
What are you doing?
She smiles and turns and shows her phone screen to him, he smiles,

She pulls out her phone and shows him some. They remember and laugh over moments. He looks at her

Shravu!! They say it together and laugh heartily!!
Suddenly her ride comes to her, nikalna nahi hai?
Haan chalo na.
She waves a bye at everyone and leaves.
She thanks her friend for the ride when she reaches home
Bore tho nahi hui na? I know this is not your usual gang
