Awesome analysis. I loved every word, very beautifully written. Raman is more flawed than Ishita. She is shown as a little Ms. Perfect except her medical condition which is beyond her control. Raman on the other hand has gone through lots of ups and downs before Ishita and now with her, but for some reason they are so preoccupied with their own problems that they are either oblivious or just refuse to see the other person's POV. They are still trying to convince themselves that they married the "tallest tree"😃.

Thank you for appreciating the post and for your kind words. I think Raman and Ishita are equally flawed it's just that the story has explored Raman's character more than Ishita's character. Ishita's incapability has shaped her adult life and her personality, she feels incomplete and is insecure about everything in her life. She feels because of that one 'flaw' she can lose everything and everyone she loves. She feels she can never satisfy Raman as a wife, she can never give him children.
Every decision she takes and every move she makes is somewhere influenced by this one single fact that she cannot conceive. I just hope that we get to see her perspective in the show a little more.

You are so correct these two are so oblivious to each other and their own feelings that they are seeing things that do not exist and hearing things that aren't said.

Hello again Lady,

How intelligently you come across!

Your statement of NOT DRINKING AND DRIVING, is immensely needed. Thank you for putting it down in black and white. It matters that every one takes this issue seriously. The writers and the CVs have come across as clever thinking people... but this was a no- no.

I love your stalk and tree. About the stalk , many, many young men and women lost their best one looking for perfection. Yes , poor Raman ... what a mess with Shagun.

About the tree , its usually a compromise. An agreement. An attitude to make a relationship grow. And as you have said ... to find perfection in an imperfect world and THEN to love it to bits.
I must say that I like your words about the tree best of all.!

And your last sentence , I love and understand and feel.

Eyes wide shut , you have your eyes wide open.❤️

Hello Friend! So nice to hear from you 😃 and so very kind of you to call me 'intelligent' I may come across like so but that's far from reality 😆
You know this drinking and driving bit was bothering me for the longest time, show him drinking no problem but get him in a cab or use a chauffeur. Exactly YHM team is clever so I hope they rectify this soon.
Thank you, the last sentence was very organic I just wrote it didn't realize it would resonate with Gan and yourself so much!
Clever you! I like the world play here with Eyes wide shut and open!
Always a pleasure to interact with you 😃

I m liking this Ishita since past 2 days. 😊 Hope she doesnt let Mani come in between husband wife n their fight.

Just really hoping against hopes that they have a proper confrontation today n ask all the valid questions. 😉

Ishita asking him that y does he always take Shagun's name even in his hatred

raman asking her y is she so obsessed by Mani n is she having an affair with him. 😳

Ur story of Socrates was nice touch. 😊

Hello Megha! I am glad you liked the socrates touch! I really do hope for a confrontation between these two because a lot needs to be said, and lot of grievances need to be addressed by a husband and wife. And since this misunderstanding is about Mani I think whether we like it or not Mani will be involved in the beginning of their conversation at least but I do hope that later they take it to their bedroom and talk, scream or do whatever in the privacy of their bedroom.

I also wish Raman hadn't ridiculed her in public, for what it's worth and no matter how 'bad' Ishita is, she deserves not be humiliated by mentioning Shagun in front of everyone.

Hey Doc - ah what a way to begin a day thank you for this beautiful post and that lovely little life-lesson. Do you by chance hold any literary honors? Sorry if I am being too personal but couldnt help ask. If so beware, I may bug you to ask recommends on books - specially philosophy - a field that fascinates me, so yeah fair warning there before you start wondering who did you indulge. 😆

Coming to tonight - since you say you have yet to watch the earlier episodes of the show I am not quite sure if you would know of this but a scene I couldnt help but remember as I read your post has to be mentioned here. This one is before the marriage - the night when Raman won the award as the CEO of the year - interestingly added another feather to his cap much like this night when he was announced as the new ABG head.

Then he came home drunk and saw a woman - his neighbor looking towards his home and stumbled to her. This woman had by some cosmic connection got attached to his daughter by then, the connection so strong that as a woman, a mother who was as of yet not labeled so - she sensed something was wrong with the child. She merely wanted to have a look at the girl to calm herself, instead she met with the father who wasnt even in his senses. He insults her, demeans her and says she is looking for him and his daughter need not be used as an excuse. He slurs he knows what she wants and gets impossibly close to her...she fights him and pushes him back, still he manages to stay on his feet and takes a wad of cash which he forcibly thrusts into her hands as he says - this is what all women want...and then passes out.

The woman is disgusted, angry but yet helps him and later his child too. She saves the girl but is branded as a kidnapper - a move which ends up getting her parents arrested and her engagement broken yet again. Later on this very move would prove her as a woman that is a mother through and through - she would be asked to marry the man who is the father of that child she loves and their journey would begin.

Tonight life came a full circle when he was in much the same place and she was as well. The difference being then he had generalized all women and assumed them to be replicas of his wife whose mind was only focused on greed...that night he offered cash...this night - he offered himself but more than that he sought to claim. Then his mind was too influenced by his past - a past that only seeked gains which made him react the way he did..this night he saw what he provided in the past wholeheartedly was the one thing he held back this time around - and it would cost him dearly. He was reminded not all gains are monetary, not all wealth can be measured in terms of status...not everyone seeks the same things.

He had assumed that night power, status ruled the world but this time around he saw that when it comes to things that matter - things which are real - power and status does zilch, in these matters you have to put yourself out there on a personal level, which he had failed to do this time around, he learned influence doesnt hold a candle here. And that is what he did at last - he spoke about learning the value of relationships and claiming rights, he spoke about becoming a husband, in the truest form from a namesake one. His frustration, anger and insecurity becoming the reason he mocked his wife. His intentions to bridge the distance that he couldnt permit any longer to stay between them, his way of going about it - absolutely wrong,

To prove himself to his past he rose in stature, to hold onto his present he ironically fell from grace. How they make their way now lost between the darkness of the past and the shadows of the present would make this marriage.

Yes logically it was wrong of him to take Shagun's name at a professional event.

N today too he was morally wrong in forcing himself on Ishita , i.e asking her to accept him, he was really hard in pushing the boundaries of intimacy in their marriage.

He thinks Ishita chose a better person than him which is not so. 😳

Actually both of them r now forcing each other to accept the other, Ishita is purposefully making him jealous so he accepts his feelings for her n he is pushing the envelope of intimacy so that she can come out n accept him.

So what u mentioned about Ishra is right they r individually flawed souls but perfect for each other.

I find both Ishra wrong in handling their relationship from the beginning n really m expecting a good confrontation while solving their marital problems.

Hello Aani! Good morning as I get ready for bed 😆, I am far from holding any honors let alone honors in literature, I am not that learned. But I will be more than happy to discuss books, please suggest some for me and I'll suggest them to you. 😊

Thank you for tying in the previous episodes for me, a lot of it makes sense now of why this scene was added to the screenplay. Till now I was debating with G and Swathi and actually questioning my stance about the said scene and my views regarding the same. Now that i read what I happened in the past I see why the scene was introduced! You are a savior.

Raman's past is his biggest blessings and his biggest curse! Blessing is he learns from his past and MOVES on and curse because he is till fixated on it and let's it dictate his present. He is judging every book by it's cover and not giving himself the chance of redemption and happiness. You are so apt in saying that no amount of success and accolades can stand tall in the face of personal matters. Love and marriage is such that you hand over the power to your loved one trusting them with the most vulnerable part of yourself. Raman has yet to find his vulnerability and yet to hand over the power to Ishita, when that happens sparks will fly!

'To prove himself to his past he rose in stature, to hold onto his present he ironically fell from grace. How they make their way now lost between the darkness of the past and the shadows of the present would make this marriage. ' 👏👏👏

That's exactly what i have been saying for the longest time, both of them are at fault! And I wanna slap puttar for thinking Mani is a better person for Ishita than him 😲, my man boy is crazy for thinking crazy things.
Let's hope for an amazing confrontation scene that all of us have been waiting for and that we all deserve!
