The episode started with the two on the precipice of their feeling for each other...she with tears of joy from the knowledge of him fasting for their first KC as a couple...he still overwhelmed with his feeling for her and being just called the best husband by Bala and Mihir.
Then past came haunting in the form of a phone call. She hid the truth to protect him...He saw it as a pattern of his past repeating. And the very phrase 'best husband in the world' became too much for him during KC fast breaking.
And his walls... ones of self preservation, of hurting before getting hurt again...which were showing signs of crumbling were back with vengeance. He redefined their relationship to be one just as Ruhi's parents.
It hurt her. As she knew they were past and beyond that status.
Both receded in their corners...laying in the hurt of their feelings...both engulfed in darkness...one from feeling she didn't care for him...the other from feeling her feelings were not enough for him.
Silence prevailed...
Heart wrenching episode.
