Hey Guys!

Kinda delayed... but I didn't get time until now to post this! And I just could not miss the opportunity to write about this scene, because it is SPECTACULAR. Better late than never, right? :)

FINALLY... RKB meets Mani, and we get to see Karan Patel's expressive genius IN ACTION. I have literally been waiting for a jealousy track to begin for the longest time. RKB's past has been in Ishra's present life since the very beginning, and it always will be...because Raman's past lives in his, and now Ishita's, children. But, I was always disappointed that they never brought up Ishita's past. Granted, it is not as imminent in their present life as Raman's past is, but I still expected it to come up sooner or later. I was expecting Subbu's return... I guess because that seemed most logical and he was her only past as far as we knew. But, when Mani entered... I was more than happy and satisfied, because at this point, it didn't even matter to me who, when or how we see it... all I wanted was to desperately see a jealous, possessive RKB. FINALLY... we can feast our eyes on this EXTREME SEXINESS.

In this episode, we got two treats. Karan Patel's SUPERB expressions and performance, especially the double-role scene. I was completely floored! More than the acting, I was just like... WHICH KARAN DO I DROOL AT?! Haha Kisse pyaar karoon situation! Two KPs in one frame was like a blessing.

And the second, SUPER DUPER TREAT... was this scene right here. After the double-role, when RKB comes out of his reverie, Mani gives him the thali and he goes and does aarti with Ishita.

WHAT A SCENE!! Again, YHM and DivAn PROVE why they deserve all the love and respect in the world. Such a simple and short scene, but so immensely powerful. I was stunned. As I always say, DivAn don't take the crown, they OWN the crown! THEY ARE THE BEST! heres just another reason why.

The scene...

Raman is awoken by Bala, and he sees Mani in front of him telling him to take the thali. Raman gestures first, almost as if asking permission from Mani.

Then... as if Raman realized, "why the hell am I asking HIM if I can go do aarti with MY WIFE?!"... he angrily takes the thali and mouths a sarcastic "thanks".

Right from the beginning, this scene started off par excellence! PERFECT execution by Karan, and beautifully thought out by CVs! There was a time when Raman hesitated, when he was unsure about moving forward... symbolized here in his little gesture asking for "permission". But now, that time is gone. There is no more hesitation, no more uncertainty, no more questions. Raman KNOWS Ishita is HIS, and ONLY HIS. YES BABY YES! WOOO! Raman takes that thali away from Mani and heads to his wife.

And along with that also comes SUPER HOT KARAN PATEL. Hayyeee... how are you so sexy KP?!? DAYUM BABY. Let me have some of THAT! Haha

Ok sorry... back to the scene ;)

Raman needs to make sure Mani understands that Ishita is his wife, and he goes ahead towards her with the intention of making this clear, not only to Mani, but also to Ishita. He is angry, jealous and yet determined to make his point. A few emotions playing inside him, all at once. He tightly grasps Ishita's hand, to express all these emotions.

Ishita, clueless about any of this, is confused with Raman's sudden tight, authoritative grasp on her hand. Raman refuses to loosen his grip, or soften his emotions. He is not letting go. Not now, not ever. No way.

Ishita glances up at him, only to see his stone hard face. She doesn't know what is happening, and yet... somehow, at the same time, she doesn't mind it. Does I... Do I like this? She doesn't know. But why does she feel a sensation?

She looks down at Raman's tight hold on her hand, almost in awe of his action. Why is he holding me so tight? Whatever it is, she feels safe in his tight grasp... she feels her heart racing. She DOES like it!

Raman continues, completely immersed in his "she is mine" thought process... while Ishita is still staring at his hold, confused as to why it's happening but at the same time... loving the feeling.

Suddenly, Raman feels satisfied that he has made his point, and he roughly lets go of Ishita. He is done saying what he had to say, and she better have understood it. You are MINE Ishita. That is all. There. I said it.

He glances at Ishita as if he is trying to make sure she got the point. Ishita's gaze lingers on her now freed hand... still trying to understand what just happened.

Raman then glares straight ahead, as if confirming that she must have got the point. Got it Ishita? Good. Don't forget it. Ishita looks up still in a haze of confusion.. as if responding meekly with an unsure "Uhh...Okkk...?..."

AND THEN, THEY END THE SCENE WITH THIS AMAZING SHOT PICTURED BELOW!!

Raman, arms across his chest, has made his point to both Ishita and Mani. And they both better have gotten the message, because he is not playing. Raman is standing right behind his wife, and ain't nobody gonna come in between them! Mani and anyone else can take the backseat... because Raman has claimed his wife.

WOWWW!!!

No dialogues at all, but so so much was said. HOW DO THEY DO IT?! WAY TO GO CVS AND YHM TEAM!! Once again, you guys have completely won me over.

AND DIVAN!!! Seriously. You guys are OUTSTANDING. I do not think I have EVER seen ANY Indian actors play a role as perfectly as you two carry off Ishita and Raman. Your expressions are SPOT ON EVERY TIME!! Karan was superb portraying the conflicted emotions of RKB: anger, jealousy and determination to make his point of possession... and then at the end, assertively making his place known. MINDLOWING KARAN! (and... SUPER, SUPER HOT. I LOVE YOU.) And Divyanka... my god! The way you portrayed Ishita's confusion but at the same time love and "kuch kuch ho raha hai" emotion was just BRILLIANT!! How do you do it?!? It was like we could FEEL your inner turmoil. You did not know why it was happening, but you liked it. PERFECT DIVYANKA. PERFECT!

HATS OFF TO BOTH OF YOU! I bow my head down to your brilliance, DivAn! What a performance. Oh.. and Chemistry ki toh baat hi maat karo. Your chemistry is at another level all together. Divyanka and Karan, you guys can be miles apart and STILL exude chemical flames. No need for dialogues, no need for a cheesy romantic background song, no need for excessive touching. You two need nothing. This scene is just another example of this fact. Just look at each other and stand next to each other... that's all you need to do to burn the TV screens. FIRE IN THE HOUSE BABY. Haha

Wow. What a scene. Im in love.

Beautiful post Ria

A very popular saying is Action speak louder than words... and this scene just went on to prove that the interaction between Ishita and Raman was not on a verbal level but the way they acted spoke volumes.

A man shaken and stirred to see his wife with another man, who is fuming and raging at the same time wants to make a statement...but he controls himself. He knows in some part of his heart that its all in his head and he need not make a scene which can embarrass his wife and in-laws at the same time he cant help himself as well from claiming what is his, from marking his territory as well.

What does he do? He takes the matter in his hands quite literally and asks his wife to take her place by his side and as they perform the aarti he has an iron grip on her hand...and his expressions - a face that is set in fury and yet is controlled at the same time - a face which his wife too notices as well as feels the strength of his grip too.

She likes it and yet she is confused by the sudden change in her husband, the man who just a while back held her hand gently, who was teaching her the rituals of his family...she understands something is wrong but does not question him nor does she ask him to loosen his grip on her... she understands this is not the time nor place to make things be known to one and all.

What I loved was in particular the way this scene ended- usually when someone stands in between two people in shows they show that person is there to create a rift, to make a divide as an omen BUT here the person standing in the middle wasn't the third party rather this was a man who was guarding his territory who was putting himself in between any and all of those forces that could come between him and his wife and when he does that he takes a good look at her and then towards the idols...he faces god, cos he knows he has done no wrong.

Lovely post! I don't think it was delayed at all cos we're still not over this scene.😆
It was the scene of the week for me and I'm watching it repeatedly, gushing over Raman's expressions.
Often, for KP scenes, I wonder how much is scripted and how much is improvised by him. How he manages to express so much is beyond my understanding. Its sheer brilliance! To potray Raman Bhalla is no mean feat and this scene is an example of that.
RKB is not someone who expresses his emotions through words. Its up to KP to enact in such a way that all the anger and passion that Raman keeps bottled up inside him are conveyed through his expressions and actions alone. To speak volumes without words, he has managed that convincingly in this one scene.
Divyanka, on her part, was really good too.. her bafflement at his actions was evident😆

Kudos to the CVs, KP and DT for giving us charming scenes time and again😊😊

Ria ...
Simply brilliant ... this is the perfect interpretation of the sequence .. it was Raman asserting his rights ... rather making a claim ..nothing needed to be said after this ...

i am so glad .. have been in discussion forums galore where i tried explaining this .. but u have brilliantly explained it ... they say where words fail .. a picture tells the story ... & its beautifully displayed in this post of urs.

Thank u Ek Paheli ( Aani) .. for pointing this post to me ..
