Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

"What is this Shagunji? Ashok has left you on your own again?"
"Actually Param Ashok has a lot of things to do at work. You know everything that is going on with the business."
"That's why I came but never mind. I'll catch up with Ashok at the office."
Param walked to the drinks cabinet and poured himself a large drink. Walking towards Shagun he murmured. "I hope you don't mind but my throat was feeling rather dry." His hand trailed along Shagun's back as he walked past her to sit down. "Come and sit down Shagunji." Shagun chose a seat furthest away from Param as she could without being obvious. There was something in his eyes that made her feel uncomfortable. She hadn't spent all these years being Ashok's girlfriend without noticing and recognising the looks other men gave her and understanding the intentions behind them. Usually she was proud of the feelings she inspired in men, something that Ashok had always encouraged.
Param moved to get closer to Shagun. "What Shagun why are you sitting so far from me? We could be of so much use to each other. You are left alone much of the time and ever since Simmi was taken away from me the loneliness has become unbearable. We could soothe each other's pain. He trailed his fingers down Shagun's bare arm and got up, "Think about it Shagun." He drained his drink and confidently walked out smirking.
"How dare he touch me?!" Shagun stormed around, flinging her bangles left, right and centre. "What does he think I am? I'm not going to let him get away with this."
Ashok walked into his room to Shagun engaging in yet another tantrum. This was becoming a daily routine.
"What happened baby? Who's got you all riled up now?"
Shagun spun around to see Ashok leaning against the wall nonchalantly, just watching her.
"Ashok thank god you've come home. You have to do something about that disgusting excuse for a man."
"Who Raman?"
"Ashok why do you always bring Raman into everything? This time I'm not talking about him. It's Param."
"What could Param possibly do? He's so grateful to me for saving him that he lives to serve me."
Shagun stormed to the bed and sat down with a thump. "If that's what you think then you're a fool. Param is nothing but an opportunistic lech. Ashok he tried to..."
"Tried to what Shagun?" Ashok came to Shagun and sat next to her. "Tell me!"
"He came earlier to talk about some project file. I told him you weren't home and instead of leaving he came closer to me. He was looking at me and began to touch me. And the things he was insinuating. My god that man has a dirty mind. How dare he touch me Ashok?! I'm your fiance not some desperate woman like Ishita that Param could even think that I would even for a moment be interested."
Ashok stood up in anger. "That disloyal dog! How dare he touch anything that belongs to me! I'll show him Shagun. Don't you worry baby, if I can protect him then I can also throw him to the lions if need be."
Walking up to Ashok Shagun wrapped her arms around him. "I knew you'd do something baby, that's why I love you so much."
Ashok turned and enveloped her in his arms.
Param you dared to touch my belonging before I was done with her. You were no longer useful to me anyhow. Now see what I'll do to you. Already a plan was forming, a plan that would get rid of more than one of his problems.
"Ishita I'm going to be back late tonight. There's a video conference with the American investors so it'll be a while."
"Wow!" Ishita teased. "What's all this? You're willingly telling me your schedule? Wait a minute don't move! This moment needs to be documented for future generations to come."
"Ha ha very funny." Raman pulled a face as he walked past her.
"Honestly Raman you don't need to worry." She tried to ease his tension.
"How can I not worry?! I hate that you have to face Param in the house every day. It pains me that he is walking around here as if nothing happened and I can't do anything about it!"
"Raman listen to me. I brought him back into the house and I can handle it. It's not as if he can do anything to me now is it? Last time no one knew what he was like but now everyone does, only Simmi is still blind to his reality."
"That's true but still Ishita if anything happens ring me straight away." Saying that Raman walked out the door leaving Ishita looking at him with a smile on her face.
"Aww sho shweet!" she murmured and turned to finish getting ready when a little voice piped up.
"Ishima do you really think papa is sweet?"
Ishita laughed and picked up her little angel. "Sometimes he does do sweet things and changes from a bitter karela. Not so much a Raavan Kumar this morning." Mother and daughter giggled. "Right come on Ruhi it's getting late and you need to get to school, go quickly and brush your teeth while I get your uniform ready."
