"Papa aap mere liye kya laaye ho"

While taking a glass of water from his wife he heard the voice and smile automatically crept on his face. He had just returned from a week long conference. He looked at her and then towards his wife and nodded a lil and opened his arms. His daughter came running to his arms and pecked his cheek.

Ruhi:- I missed you papa...

Raman:- I missed you too princess. To batao aapko aapki mamma ne pareshan to nahi kiya papa ki absence me??

Ishita glared at him.

Ruhi:- nahi papa mamma ne bhi aapko equally miss kiya.. who roz galati se aapke kapde nikal ke press karne lag jaati thi aur uthte hi chillati b thi "Raavan kumar pehle mujhe washroom jaana tha" (she giggled) aur fir jab unko yaad aata tha ki aap nahi ho to sad ho jaati thi.

Ishita who was till now listening to her daughter was now having a mixed expression of shock and being caught stealing something. She didn't find any way to excuse herself while Raman was enjoying the situation.

Raman:- beta papa ne to pehle hi kaha tha mamma ka screw Chennai export ho gaya hai aap hi nahi maanti thi.

Ishita:- Roo.. aapke school me itni acchi acchi stories banana bhi sikhate hain. Aap na zyada stories create mat karo warna logo ke bhav badhne me der nahi lagti...

Raman smiled at her effort to hide she missed him. Actually he was now feeling back to life. Seeing his actual life that lies in his family. How much he regrets missing these moments for years. His daughter, who has still kept alive the feeling of fatherhood in him and nurtures it with all her innocence and pure love. His wife, who gives him the feel that he is now no more an alone soul walking on the path of life. He now has a companion, a friend, a philosopher and a guide with him who unconditionally will support him no matter what comes in their way. A feeling of frostiness occupied his heart. Without realizing he said.

Raman:- I missed you both too..

Ishita looked at him and smiled. She knew what he was thinking at the moment by his expressions. "His eyes are so expressive" She thought and smiled as she dint know when she started her new study of reading his eyes. She mentally patted herself and said.

Ishita:- Chalo papa ab aap ready ho jaao. Ishima aur ruhi papa ke liye snacks banayenge..

Ruhi:- Papa mere gifts??

Ishima:- Rooo..

Ruhi:- ohkay ishima. Papa aap ready ho jaao..

She jumped out of his lap and ran outside of the room followed by her mom. He looked at both the women of his life and smiled. What would have happened if she would not have appeared like an angel in their lives? The void that she has filled completely now would have one day killed him and his daughter would have been a motherless child in spite of having a loveless mother in the same city.

His jaw tightened as he did not want to mention that woman even in his thoughts. He shrugged his thoughts as words of his wife echoed in his ears.. "Raman, woh aapki life se isliye nahi jaati kyunki aapne use ab bhi apni life me importance di hui hai, you hate her and hate is also an emotion. Agar aap usse apna ye emotional attatchment chhod doge to woh aapki life se apne aap chali jaayegi"

He smiled at the purity of her heart. She couldn't even think evil of her enemies. This is why he respected her a lot.

He went out after getting fresh only to find the entire bhalla family having their Sunday evening snacks and whole week's awaited gossip. His wife was in kitchen and was the first one to notice him.

Ishita:- Raman.. aap chai lenge ya juice?? Waise to aap chai hi bolenge but bahut garmi hai to aap juice hi le lijiye..

Raman:- Jab tumne decide kar hi liya hai to pucch kyun rahi ho??

She shrugged and said

Ishita:- Bharosa nahi hai na aapka.. kab kud kud karna start kardo..

Everybody greeted him and he spent some good time with his family. After supper he was there in his room looking out of the windows..

"rains were never so soothing"

He thought... He felt her presence around himself. He turned and looked at her cleaning the already clean room. He chuckled. Her content face was telling that her duties for the day were completed. He thought to start the conversation.

Raman:- aur Jhansi ki Rani.. ek hafte me kya kya karname kiye?? Koi nayi tension??

Ishita:- mai aapko tension deti hoon?? Raavan Kumar..

Raman:- Nahi nahi sirf tension thodi tum to lecture bhi deti ho..

Ishita:- Huh !!!

Raman:- Huh kya?? Soch raha hoon tumhere lectures ki evening classes khol doon.. ek aur earning source.. but please meri beti ko mat sikhana.. Woh ladki hai.. lecture issue karne ki machine nahi tumhari tarah..

Ishita:- kuc..

Ishita:- kab sudhroge aap??

Raman:- Jab sudhrengi aap...

Ishita:- Ramannn..

Raman:- Haan Ishita...

Both smiled. He again turned and looked out of the window..She came and stood beside him.

Raman:- tumhe baarish bahut pasand hai na??

Ishita:- Hmmm

Raman:- Thank you.

She looked at him confused.

Ishita:- baarish pasand hai isliye thank you...

Raman:- nahi bewakoof aurat.. Thank you isliye kyunki tumne meri life badal daali... Haan tumhe bear karna mushkil hai thoda par chalega as far as tum meri life me naye aur alag alag colors fill karti jao meri Narolac Emulsion.

She looked at him touched.. She dint want to him to stop. It was the first time they were having an heart to heart talk...

He continued.

Raman:- You made me a father, a son, a brother, a son-in-law and a husband in all true sense. Sach kahoon Ishita to is rishtey se mera vishwas uth gaya tha. Bahut gehri chot khayi thi. Socha nahi tha kabhi ubhar paunga uske dard se. par aaj who dard mehsoos hi ni hota.. Sochta hoon samay ne woh zakhm bhara hai ya tumhare sath ne... But the bottom line is I now feel fulfilled.

A tear escaped her eye. He rubbed his thumb on her cheek.

Raman:- nahi plz Ishita.. These tears I just want to see only once in your lifetime.. jab humari ruhi ki bidaayi hogi.. I don't know hum aage badhenge ya nahi because right now we both are not ready but one thing I promise you today. On every turn of life and every hurdle on your way I'll be always there beside you. I promise ..

She smiled to him and nodded in approval when she saw a glint of sadness still in his eyes..

Ishita:- Kya hua Raman??

Raman:- Bas Adi ki chinta rehti hai mujhe...

Ishita:- Raman.. Adi baccha hai. Aur usko sambhalna hum parents ka kaam hai.. jaise humne baaki sab sambhala I promise hum Adi ko bhi sambhaal lenge..

He sighed as if a burden was loosened up from his heart. She held his hand and entwined her fingers with his and said

Ishita:- Maine to aapse pehle bhi kaha tha shayad aap hi nahi samjhe.. Fir se kehti hoon.. Mai aapke sath hoon.. Hamesha...

He remembered she said those words during Adi's incident but dint think previously those words meant a deep decision. A lifetime promise she did to him.. He smiled and said

Raman:- tumhe seriously lena shuru karna padega.. pata nahi kab kya aisi baat bol jaao jise mazaak me lena mujhe hi bhaari pad jaaye..

Ishita:- mai to pehle hi kehti thi ki I am born smart..

Raman:- Ab zyada udo mat..Ho to aakhir Jhansi ki rani hi na...

Ishita (yelled):- Ramannn...

Raman:- Aey pagal aurat.. mere ghar me sab insaan rehte hain aur sab raat ko sote hain...

Ishita:- arey.. chalo chat pe chalte hain..

Raman:- Chhat pe??? Is waqt???

Ishita:- Haan haan chhat pe..

Raman:- kyun baar baar prove karti ho galat mujhe.. abhi do dialogue pehle tumhe seriously lene ki soch raha tha aur abhi ke abhi tumne kachra kar diya..

Ishita:- Raman I am serious.. aap chalo to... I promise you won't regret..

Raman:- par Ish..

Before he could complete she dragged him with her..

At terrace both were standing at the entrance shelter.

Raman:- Ishita hum chhata bhi nahi laaye.. chalo neeche.. pagal ho gayi ho kya??

Ishita:- Arey mere buddhu kumar bhalla.. agar chhata hi lana hota to hum upar kyun aate??

Saying so she ran into the rain..

Raman:- arey ishita suno to.. pagal madrasan...

She was there enjoying the rain merrily and trying to absorb every drop that was touching her... He was stunned to look at this side of his wife.. Was there a child too hidden in the mom of his errr their daughter??? She turned around and called his name.. Enough to break his trance..

Ishita:- Ramannn...

How melodious his name could sound he again thought... She yelled once more..

Ishita:- Ramannn suniye na.. Kya tab se wahan khade hain.. bahar aaiye na..

Raman:- Mai na to madrasi hoon naahi fake degree waala dentist..

Ishita:- Ufff Raavan Kumar.. Aap waqt se pehle hi buddhe ho gaye ho..

Raman:- beemar ho gaya to mera office kya tum sambhalogi??

Ishita:- nahi mai aapko sambhalungi taaki aap jaldi theek ho jaao.. Ab to aa jao...

Her words hit him straight on his pumping organ. He was still standing and looking at her.. Her eyes were calling him.

When he didn't listen she ran to him and dragged him outside.. The pouring drops were not as cold as the chilliness he was feeling inside his burning heart..

Ishita:- Raman.. mujhe baarish me bheegna bahut pasand hai par ye baarish special hai.. Jaante hain kyun??

He silently was looking at her as if telling her to continue.

Ishita:- Kyunki mujhe isi baarish ka kabse intezaar tha.. Ye baarish jo aapke dil ki baat aapki zubaan tak leke aayi.. kabse wait kar rahi thi mai is baarish ka raman.. Jab aap mujhe itna trust kar sako ki aap mujhse apni feelings share kar sako.. aur aaj jab pehli baar aapne apne dil ki baat mujhse kahi hai to baarish ko mai kaise miss kar sakti thi.. I hope aisi baarish humari life me baar baar aaye Raman.. Qki humare beech chaahe rishta koi bhi ho par hume ab zindagi bhar sath sath chalna hai. Aur agar hum ek dusre me apna dost apna companion dhund lenge to life bahut simple ho jaayegi. Haina??

Raman:- Tumne theek kaha Ishita.. Is baarish ka intezaar to mujhe bhi tha par har baar ki tarah right time pe right cheez nahi soch paya aur har baar ki tarah tumne hi mujhe realize karwaya.. I just pray ki mai aise hi hamesha cheezein bhulta rahoo.. taaki tum baar baar mujhe yaad dilati raho..

She smiled...

Ishita:- Finally who baarish aa gayi Raman...

Raman:- Abhi to safar ki yani monsoon ki shuruat hai ishita... Life me abhi bhi kayi baarishein aani baki hain..

Both smiled and opened their arms to welcome the new drops into their life... All that was running in his mind was..

Reasons found for being happy,

On the ground, no more flappy...

Have stolen time for the happiness,

Have bid a bye to emptiness...

Have realized what's important what's not,

Have gardened the heart's barren plot...

Have got world's best power,

Love is pouring like a cold shower...

Have elders' blessings have younger's wishes,

Have life like all the sweet dishes...

Have the most important thing of life,

Now I have world's best wife..

Have left bitter past and have moved on,

Days of tears are now gone...

Living a life,no win no defeat,

My heart now finally feels complete..
