exactly. they showed yesterday shagun sent mihir rakhi. its sign of her feelings as sister for him. and earlier also she was protecting adi as mom tho she was not good at his upbringing but she has defo feelings for her son and in starting also we have seen she wanted to see ruhi in award function

Yep she does still pine for her bro it seems but with her deeds she has lost any and all love, affection or respect he held for her irrevocably and I rem in the award event too she was worried during the dinner scene Ruhi may burn herself with hot soup but Ashok stops her

I thought the same when Mihir said that line about his mother.

And interesting connect with Hasratein too!!! Btw I am pretty sure there is a name psychoanalysts give to this pattern... I have read about it, i will come back when i remember it :)

Hey thanks Lucky glad to know I am not a lone ranger here and you rem our convo I am sure - Hasratein comes to my mind when I see this show because both have homemakers turned homewreckers in their own rights but there are differences of course.

I rem Shyam never remarrying in the show cos he was burned here Raman planned the same though that was not to happen since this is YHM and its also realistic with his family esp mom around she would want him to remarry and move on if not for his sake than Ruhi's.

Would love to know of the term too I may learn something new 😳 the workings of the mind and relationships always fascinate me.

Great post Aani. If cv's took this route in unfolding PP, Shagun, Mihir story, it will be a treat to watch. The thing and irony about EK serial, I was so amazed when I heard YHM was from Ekta.😲 It's weird how in YHM ekta seem to be breaking every trope she ever created- Saas bahu problems, Hundreds of love affairs, Jealous suspecting hubby- During Param track I was like ho gaya satyanash bt RKB actually supported Ishu..It's hard to believe. Anyway, YHM in Shagun's case made a bimbo out of her. Custody's Shagun for all her love for materialistic thing was still more smarter and more like grey in character then the black person she had shown to be. If Shagun was like in custody in YHM, IshRa would have had lesser problems to deal with.
PS- After reading this post I kind of want to see Hasratein. I wonder if it's available online?

Thanks Oishi

and I so concur EK is breaking her mould with YHM she is trying to go beyond convention and since its working too given the time slot I hope she continues to do so and not fall for the trp trap

And while Shagun has been shown as what you described there have been instances that are rare too like her worrying for Mihir when he cut his hand and then at the award ceremony being worried that Ruhi might burn herself

As for Hasratein being available online hmm found this on YT but it doesnt have all the epis https://www.youtube.com/show/hasratein/videos

interesting comparison. I watched that serial with my mom, although i was very young. i knew it was about taboo relations.
it was much better than the later EK serials. YHM is exploring too many relations and their combinations, i feel.

Aani

I think

This is heading towards poornima prakash manipulating ishita with fake stories about Raman Shagun past and creating a rift

Or if she is good then ishita mahaanta act of sacrifice likely

The character you wrote about seems to be mature. Writers can show real depth in Shagun's character too if they wanna take that route. Till now its more of a bimbo cum self obsessed woman with a mean streak. It would be good to see her thought progression and not just her vested interests wala vampish avataar. Her feelings about Raman at the moment are more on the obsessive side with again a focus on her mean attitude along the lines "it should not matter if I left him, he can't move on" which is clearly not a mature characterization. As far as her mother is concerned, well let's just see what happens.

Also I can bet everything I know about daily soaps -- once PP & Shagun are revealed as Mihir's family, we suddenly see an onslaught of both the women making a big time entry in every day of his life. And he in turn will probably shown to move in with his mum. Just like that.

Oh Savi was very mature I rem actually Zee having another show Tara that had these group of friends who were shown drinking, smoking and the lead Tara had an affair with a much older man her dad' age too and yeah this can make the show have a really fascinating depth actually

Her feelings for Raman are conflicted and borderline obsessive because while she found materialistic pleasures with Ashok she never found the kind of love, adoration and worship she had in Raman and now that he is slowly and steadily placing Ishita on a pedestal (already has) she is losing even the last shred of importance in his life with no effect on him.

even when he hated her he gave her importance but she is scared what would happen once he becomes indifferent to her which is what will happen one day as the writers brilliantly made Ishita say those words to him - once he realizes he loves Ishita and they begin their journey its game over for Shagun

and I dont know how far the @bold part will play cos Mihir himself wants to keep em at bay

For me hope the writer continues to keep her BAD .. she is the TRUE VAMP of the show ... any kind of emotional back story of hers will ruin her as a villain ...

But thats my individual opinion ..😛😉

Oh what Shagun did is indeed irredeemable but this might just answer the why Ruby that is all 😳 just because you have an explanation doesn't make things right but it does make you feel better to know why a thing happened the way it did

It can be an interesting angle to PP & why Mihir is not close to her. Nice thought Aani. Let's see what yhm shows. If they show like this.. You will be remembered during the revelation track. :))

Hey A thanks and yep Hasratein and Tara were bold for the time lets see what the writers here do though so far they seem to have kept things pretty tight and this angle might have cropped up now but was always in the pipeline so I am sure they know what they are doing
