Has the director changed coz no clue about this. Its just that all these comedy nights wale scenes can be easily avoided.
I still remember the way Raman jumped up to challenge Ishita to cook punjabi food in front of the whole family 😲. Waise what in the world happened to that challenge🤔</font>

It might be coming

And she will soon ask for something

And yes such comedy could have been avoided

I don't understand how anyone can call divyanka a weak link. she is an amazing actress, and she has shown her our acting prowess throughout the show.

When she rushes to the hospital after amma's accident

When she is desperately looking for raman in that burning hotel

When raman tells ishita that he is going to a picnic with shagun and the kids

That look of hurt on her face when she overhears raman's convo with shagun at the party

That bench conversation with raman afterwards

Her memory loss drama during the picnic

All her nok jhok scenes with raman (which requires a good comic timing)

Don't know how anyone can call her the weak link after giving such great performances.

she is the first actress who made me feel for a character, of course the credit goes to good writing and characterization as well but divyanka portrays ishita with so much grace and dignity. An actor's performance depends on the director, writer, camera work etc. so when things go wrong, it is unfair to only blame the performer. Constructive criticism is welcome but some comments are rude.

But this post was made with with sole intention of pointing out what I did not like

If ppl think it is bashing what can I say

My post 95 PC of time have been in support of ishita and divyanka

I made this with honest intention of discussion so that things can improve

But this is disgraceful

As ppl who hate her are using this to bash her

And ppl who like her are overreacting instead of giving counter to my post

Balance and proper discussion is missing

Dnt take it personally ppl started bashing divyanka saying her voice is not gud shes weakest link of shw etc hence it was reported .i understand ur POV. Completely hoping un necessary bashers will keep away n give logical critique on her acting abilities.
I agree that these unnecessary nok jhoks n comedy is tiring but i guess d makers r working towards d next big drama unfolding. There r lots of hurried scenes but honestly DT alone is not responsible for shoddy work editing dept writers directors hv to b blamed equally if ppl r not able to relate to DTs scenes.

I honestly cannot blame Divyanka for the senseless comedy coz she is not responsible for writing the scene. Recently a few scene have been added which are more like slapstick comedy. And since Raman has his one-liners and his tough persona, KP is saved from enacting this kinda stuff.

Sarika could have been saved in many other ways yesterday, it was not necessary to show what they showed.

I honestly think that part of the reason some of us feel that the acting is below par where Ishita's character is concerned is because the comic scenes (Kolaveri and Haryanvi) were completely OTT and did not fit in with what we've been shown before. And when that happens, the acting comes across a little forced and fake (for lack of a better term). Divyanka excels in emotional scenes, no doubt about that, but melodrama and comedy, she does best when it isn't OTT or forced which is the way it has been recently.

that is what I have been saying.
those scenes were stupid and unnecessary. the writers wanted it to be funny but it backfired because it was bad comedy. good comedy is raman's one liners and ishra nok jhok, and divyanka has great comic timing in those.

Well I did not know KP or DT before this show and it is the their brilliant acting, chemistry and the excellent plot of the show which hooked me to this series.

But, even I agree that recently, these scenes were below the standards. I honestly did not watch the Romi Ishita scene properly, because I was suffering from a headache that day and all that constant turning of the camera did not help, so I actually kindaa let it pass.
I personally think there may be a many reasons for that:
1. DT by nature is a very soft and introvert person, someone who finds solace in books and does not talk too much. For someone like her to do a Kolaveri scene, or the Haryanvi act me be a tough nut to crack. It may be a new genre to her and while I commend her for her honest trial, its ok to fail or be not up to the mark ... that is how one learns no ...
2. I have a feeling that Kolaveri Di scene was most probably a last minute invention as a filler because the sets of YHM had burnt. If you look at the same episodes yet again, you will notice that Bhalla house was avoided as much as possible .. because may be it was burnt .. that may explain the new look of Ishra bedroom also.
About yesterdays Haryanvi scene, well I am pretty acquainted with the Haryanvi accent and honestly, though it looked like a good effort, it did not do justice.
But, I still want to push my first point that it may be related to DT's nature.
All said and done, I will not go as far as saying that her acting standards are slipping because the same DT was able to convey a 1000 things from her eyes during the recent fake ILU scene but simply accept the fact that she is may be not comfortable with comedy or rather to be precise ... over the top loud comedy ..
She has been brilliant with situational comedy earlier ... I will like to refer to Ruhi ka not innocent question Ishima, babies kahan se aate ?
P.S.: Brilliant idea to open this post. I do not see any reason to report this post, rather if there is a way, I am ready to promote it for the sole reason that it brings out a healthy discussion.
Cheers
