FF Part 1:
Raman and Ishita were indeed married however they rarely behaved like a "normal" couple. Yes they cared for each other but they were more like friends. Good friends. Maybe even best friends. But this soon began to change. They developed feelings for each other. When one was hurt, the other felt the pain. When one was happy, the other basked in their happiness.
To them their marriage was based on things other than physical intimacy. It was based on their mutual love for their beautiful daughter and their families. But sometimes they couldn't help wonder whether they needed more in their marriage.
He held her by the waist. She could feel his breath on her face. He observed her very closely, every line, spot and skin. He smiled. He was finally content. "Be ready by 7, Ishita. We have a party to go to, remember?" and he had finally let go of her and had walked out. She was left slightly dumbstruck. She and her husband rarely shared this form of intimacy, unless they were performing a dance. But it was her fault really. She had decided to clean the top of the wardrobe when she slipped off the stool and into his arms.
"Where is this Ravaan Kumar?! The party starts at 8, and it's already 7.15! And he's one of the important guests!" said Ishita pacing up and down in her room wearing a bottle green evening gown, black shawl and glittery golden heels. She couldn't help wonder where her husband had got to. She decided to call him. "Urgh, engaged! Just as expected!".
She decided to continue wearing her makeup "he'll get here, when he gets here" she muttered. She soon began to apply her makeup. "7.45! And he's still not here! Where on earth is he?!" she cried, as she wore her bracelet. "He told me to be ready by 7 and the king himself hasn't even bothered to turn up. Maybe it was foolish of me to even be excited about this party. And I even bought this dress so that he wouldn't be embarrassed of my sarees! They are a bit too much for business parties" she muttered as she redialled her husband's number. "Network unavailable! What on earth is the silly man upto?"
Ruhi had ran into her parent's room. "Wooow Ishimaa! Don't you look beautiful! Papa will go crazy after seeing how beautiful my momma is" she giggled, doing a twirl by herself. "By the way momma, where is papa?" she asked. Ishita walked towards Ruhi, and bent down to give her a kiss on her rosy pink cheeks. "Rooh baby, I don't know. He's probably busy. Look na, it's already 8! The party starts at 8!".
"Don't worry momma, he'll be here!" smiled Ruhi and she skipped out the room.
Ishita called Raman again. Finally it rang. He received. "Hello Ishita?".
"Where on earth are you Raman? It's already 8 and you told me to be ready by 7 and here I am all dressed up! This is too much! You always taunt me for being late but here you are, late yourself! I've had too much! WHERE ARE YOU?" she shouted down the phone.
Now guys, it's time for you to decide the story. Where is Raman? Who is he with? What is he up to?
Part 2:
Right guys the second update, now this is dedicated to Vsoujanya who suggested the Subbu track and because it's her first post on the YHM forum and to Avni_19 for the fertility track. Thanks for the ideas lovelies! =)
Raman didn't know what to say. He kept quiet and Ishita kept shouting. He finally took a deep breath and said "I'll be home in a minute" and he disconnected the call before Ishita could continue.
"That Ravan Kumar! He always shouts at me and the one day I shout back, he doesn't respond. Urgh. He gets on my nerves" said Ishita. Little did she know, Raman had heard her. She turned around and saw Raman holding his blazer. He seemed a little irritated. "Let's go" he muttered and he walked back out the room.
"Hawwh! He didn't even apologise! What is wrong with him? Just when I thought he was finally becoming a normal husband, he decides to have a mood swing. Great. Anyway Ishita forget it" she said to herself and walked downstairs.
The car journey was quite uncomfortable. Ishita looked towards Raman. He could see that something was bothering him. The lines on his forehead were an indication for starters. Before she could say something Raman gestured that they had reached their destination. Raman had opened the door for Ishita, like a true gentleman.
The walked into the hall together, photographers were waiting for them. Raman had suddenly pulled Ishita towards him and rested his hand on her waist. Although their photo session was over, he was reluctant to let her go. Ishita looked at where Raman's hand was placed, she smiled. His hand guided her towards the other guests. Raman had formally introduced his wife to all the parties and partners. The lines of his forehead soon vanished.
Raman and Ishita joined in with the conversation. They laughed and smiled. They even danced together yet they hardly spoke to one another. The party was soon over and the two headed off home. While in the car, Ishita had noticed that the lines on his forehead soon returned. She had decided to break the silence.
"Raman, are you okay? Is anything bothering you?" she asked. "I'm fine" snapped Raman. "Raman, please tell me what's wrong" said Ishita. "I told you, I'm fine" muttered Raman. She was about to ask him again to open up until a ice lolly stand caught her eye. "Raman! Stop the car now!" shouted Ishita. Raman who genuinely thought that something was wrong, hit the breaks. "WHAT?" he shouted "WHAT HAPPENED?!". And just as he turned around to face her, she saw him run out towards the ice lolly stand. Raman was fuming with anger. "That stupid woman could have caused an accident. Imagine the newspapers, man died in an accident because his wife wanted ice lolly!" he muttered to himself.
He soon got out of the car and he was still angry but before he could say anything to her, he had noticed how her face had lit up as she was waiting for her lolly. He saw how she pouted because she couldn't decide on what flavour syrup to have. She kept changing her mind. He smiled and for a moment he had forgotten why he was so frustrated and angry.
Raman had stood beside her, "mix them all" he said. She looked at him. "I'm sorry Raman, I didn't mean to stop the car. It's just that I've been craving this type of lolly for agesss". Raman smiled, "it's okay Ishita". "Would you like one Raman?" she asked. "No, it's okay, you carry on" he replied. The two sat on a bench near the stand with Ishita's colourful ice lolly. "You know what Raman, the last time I had this lolly, I was engaged to Subbu and we wer" and before she could continue Raman had snapped. This was the final straw for him and he stood up.
"Subbu SUBBU SUBBU! Why do you always have to mention Subbu? He's your past got it? I'm your present! Why do you feel the need to bring him up? WHY are all your memories attached to him? Wherever I go, WHATEVER I do Subbu always comes up. I've had enough! And today! OH TODAY, he had the guts to come up to me!". Finally he felt a massive weight had been lifted off his heart.
Ishita also stood up. "Raman? Is that why you were angry?" She asked. He didn't reply. "Raman, Subbu is my past just like Shagun is yours. In fact all I have with Subbu are memories, and trust me they're just memories. I don't value them. And the reason why I'm so comfortable mentioning them is BECAUSE they don't mean anything to me. They're just memories" said Ishita. He finally looked towards her.
"And he came upto you?!" she asked.
"Hmmm" he replied.
"What did he say?" asked a curious Ishita. "Nothing" he replied. "Please tell me Raman" she said. "Fine!" he said. He gestured her to sit down on the bench. "He told me that he's divorcing his wife. He's not happy with her. He doesn't love her. Apparently you were and are the love of his life and that you were both crazy for each other and he believes that you two should have marri" and before Raman could finish his sentence Ishita burst out laughing.
"What?" he asked.
"Oh Raman, forget Subbu. He's a confused person. If he truly loved me then he would have stayed with me no matter what. And believe me when I say this, I have no space for him in my life and I certainly don't love him. And you know what, let me tell you a story. When me and Subbu used to go out to have these lollies, I would often be confused about which flavour to have. And Subbu would always make me stick to one flavour but secretly, I used to love mixing them all. The thought of mixing all the syrups disgusted him but today I realised something. I was in that same position today, and you had told me to mix all the syrups and at that moment I realised that just like this lolly, my life is perfect and colourful" she said, as she licked the lolly.
Raman's heart was now doing somersaults and all form of acrobats and he had finally let out a massive smile. And because he was her Ravaan Kumar, he had decided to go back to his old taunting ways. "Yeah yeah, whatever. Let's go before you end up bankrupting me over these silly ice lollies. Weird woman" and he had walked towards the car. Ishita was following him until she had dropped the ice lolly and grabbed her lower abdomen. "Owww" she cried. Raman looked back and he saw his wife in pain. He ran towards her.
"Ishu? Ishu are you okay? What's wrong? Is your stomach hurting? It must be these ice lollies!" he said, as he panicked. "Raman, hospital! Take me" she cried as she was gasping for air. Raman rushed her to the passenger seat and then to the drivers seat. He called the hospital, to let them know that he was on his way with Ishita. He saw blood seep through her dress. He started to panic. "Ishu, don't worry we're nearly there." He saw her break into a sweat.
After a long 10 minutes, they had finally reached the hospital. The doctors and nurses were waiting for them with a bed ready. They rushed Ishita to the emergency room. Raman had decided not to call their families. He kept pacing up and down the corridor.
After an hour, the doctor had finally come out the emergency room. Raman ran towards him. "Doctor, is Ishita okay? What's wrong with her? She had an ice lolly with a lot of syrup, is that why she had those stomach pains? I knew it! I shouldn't have let her have them. They're full of chemicals" Raman kept blabbering on and on, until the doctor placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Your wife is fine, Mr Bhalla. There is no need to worry. In fact, I have some good news. For many years, your wife was proved to be unfertile, but today after conducting many tests, it appears that she's indeed fertile and may be able to have children!" said the doctor, with a massive smile on her face.
Raman was shocked. His head began to spin. "What?!" he asked. "She'll be able to have children?!" he asked again. The doctor nodded, and left him to it. Raman ran towards Ishita's room.
He saw her, sat up and with a big smile on her face however her smile soon faded as she saw Raman entering her room. Raman had noticed this but had pretended that he didn't.
"What a drama queen Ishita! Seriously, if you want my attention you just have to tell me!" he said with a big smile on his face. "By the way, the doctor told me. Congratulations?" he said. He was confused at he should say. "Thanks?" said Ishita "but it doesn't matter now. It's too late. I have all I need. I have Ruhi. She's all I need." she muttered. Raman had heard her but he decided not to say anything but again he had butterflies in his tummy and his heart was doing yet more acrobatics.
"Shall we go home?" he asked. "Yes, lets" she replied.
"Oh Raman, let's not tell anybody about today, okay?" said Ishita.
"Your wish" replied Raman
Now guys, decide what happens next!.
