Can't help feeling a man's ego is more sensitive than his heart. Raman is in love with Ishita. He is so deeply on love with her that the fact that he had another past and so had she has no place in his perception .So that when she talks of Subu he cannot think further. His ego is so hurt. The thought that she is not happy with him is a lowly feeling which makes his ego cringe. But the poor man doesn't realise that all this is happening because he is head over heels in love with her . Don't blame him really . He has lost his heart to her and the only thing that can save his sanity at this moment is his ego. Ishita has thrown a boundary and Raman has been left staring and so shocked that he forgot that he Raman Bhalla The All Rounder should be concentrating on the catch. But the ball has been bowled out of range -- the ball is not in his court and he can't call the shots.. Well a humbling doze once in a while is sure to do good - even for the mighty Mr Know It All Mr. Bhalla. They started off talking about Simmi but Ishita's confession about Subu drove all other thoughts out of Raman's mind and if things hadn't righted themselves over lunch he would have been out of his mind by evening -- and might have ended up attacking Subu on his way home. Subu has indeed played an important role --despite being absent from the scene and from the heart .
