Why so much concern about Raman and Ishita Doing IT??

Honestly after reading so many funny topics regarding, why doesn't Raman just grab Ishita and do the deed with her, is he gay? and several other reasons.. seems illogical.
First of all, YHM is NOT any of those HAWT shows where the leads are supposed to jump into bed at every given opportunity, or giving random eyelocks and falling routines or the guy strangling the girl makes it a very fun show to watch. In that case, I believe there are several shows to cater in that respect one such being very popular on IF beaming at 6pm in its second season. YHM is a mature family show with extremely good content.

Secondly, its got very well etched novel characters and husband and wife are not supposed to just make relations because it makes the show HOTTER. There's a reason for everything and the time will come for that when Ishita and Raman will do IT. But think about it from a reality perspective would a husband really be thinking of jumping his wife's bones when his children are in some trouble. His first instinct will be to protect them.

Lastly, everyone has survived 180+ episodes and its been an enjoyable show so far coz if it wasnt there wouldn't have been so much activity on this forum in the first place. So,have patience, that time will come the creatives will give the time for IT too. YHM is a decent show with amazing storyline and strong characters with an ensemble cast. And that's all that matters for now.

Raj what lovely thoughts and I loooved everyone's response to it. I am for sure in this group...
Happy bday by the way...

My two pence on the subject

What Raman and Shagun had was the superficial kind of love based on the physical... No soul connection, no understanding, no I WILL do anything for you... Selfish convenient marriage as far as I am concerned from Shaguns side and from Raman side a misplaced belief that this superficial 'thing' is what TRUE love actually is

What Raman and Ishu have and WILL always have is the Ishq Wala love, the soul connection kind of love which is always harder to come to agreement with... It's like not the love in the conscious but deeep within the subconscious where without even thinking and using the mind your first reaction is ALWAYS from the heart! The fact that you UNDERSTAND someone even when you THINK they are wrong... You want to be there for them DESPITE yourself. You want to do anything for them! You even have the BASIC UNDERSTANDING that you know the person well enough to know that their behaviour is not them and there is something else going on! This is what these two Dhakkans as per Nikki's description have...
TO TOP THE ABOVE, these two ALSO have the physical attraction... Raman almost stops breathing when he sees his wife when she is looking gorgeous...

ISNT THIS WHAT TRUE LOVE IS? For me it is and so for me what Ishu and Raman have is true love... Now we just need to enjoy this journey with them to their REALISATION OF THIS PRECIOUS AND RARE emotion that they have..

What more do we want? IT will happen when the time is RIGHT for these two and NOT when it's right for whoever wants IT and I am sure it will beautiful WHEN IT happens...

My 2 cents:

The moment a relationship (and its definition) starts being about the display of it, it loses its foundation.

This story is about 2 individuals (and strong personalities at that) coming together in a relationship that HAD one motive - custody And well being of an innocent child. Had this happened in real life, we wouldnt expect that couple to hold hands, sing around trees and DO IT. If they did, then there would be no individuality about them and the story.

So i for one, am completely happy with the growth of their relationship and the retention of their foundation. If that is perceived as a lack of attraction and affection, then maybe my understanding of those words is wrong.

OH MY GOD!!!! Do i see some sense in this forum?? Yes i do!!!! YIPEEE!
Thank you so much! Wonderful post. There are some who cannot wait for IshRa to turn that typical cliche annoying couples, that we get to see on tv, round the clock! I mean im not complaining even if that starts, who doesnt like all that, but YHM is unique, has always been, and if that same crap is what they want to watch, bloody watch the shows that ONLY cater that, man! The primetime slot is almost full of those shows on different channels! Lol where the hero-heroin just cant get enough of falling on the bed and having awkward eyelocks in the middle of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! And the girl's hair and dupatta flying around landing on the guy's face! 😆**

It was OUTRIGHT RIDICULOUS of few members here calling Raman gay and all that bullshit, i think Those people need a round of DOING IT to ease their tension and frustration! I mean just because YOU cant control seeing the leading lady or whatever, why do you think Raman wouldnt be able to either? 🤣 like SO PATHETIC of them, seriously... That is ALL they want... And if that is it, they can have their 'havas' satisfied by seeing a lot more things man honestly! 🤣

Ye Hai Mohabbatein is a unique show, it definitely is different, its been almost 200epis, no apparent physical intimacy between leads as such, and yet the show is doing wonders, isnt that a deal in itself? This is no mills and boons romance, its a story of well in control MATURE individuals, and i would recommend intellectuals who can get this point straight to watch the show and not watch it for their 'HAWTNESS-DEPRIVIATION'... I mean... Hojayega yaar, sab hojayega, stress mat lo! 😉 🤣 har cheez ka sahi waqt hota hai!

Sorry for the long rant, but some irrational individuals in this forum seriously pissed me off, and your post made me really happy and made me believe k intellectuals... Wait, rational members still exist here! 😆

Bravo 🤗 Exactly my thought wat u said!!

YHM is nt an ordinary show, so tat we always hv so called HAwwtt scenes, Even Shows with so much of Hawwt scenes are getting Low TRP and Ppl getting bored with it!!!

YHM hv a unique class and They are trying to Show a Pure love btwn a Married couple...as like u said, we cant except a Hubby to Romance his wife, when his beloved child in some danger!!

YHM hv some Reality, Just by showing Random Eye-Lock and So called Physical Love, Leads cant get ppl's attention or interest in the show!! according to me, even those shows which hvng so called Hawwt Romance nothing in front of YHM

It is Smthng beyond words!! They are Showing High level of Awesome Emotions btwn a Hubby - wife who married w/o interest, just for a cute child and how they are falling for each other!!! Wat is the Rush for Physical Touches while even w/o those scene and along with this type of emotions they are getting many fans to get so much involvement in the show!!!

i Repeat YHM is a Class Unique show which shows the growth of Love and Affection btwn Hubby and Wife and also Care and affection btwn family members!!

Characters are being strong!! Each and every character getting importance, Story line is awesome, Even though there is No Hawwt Romance btwn couples, They can beat other couples with their single smile at each other and Eye - lock wenever it requires..it s wat My YHM..OUR YHM rocks

and Im Fully Satisfied with the show as it s a complete entertainment show!! which beats other shows and makes them nthng in front of it!!

KP and DT Rocks as IshRa, YHM ROcks with IshRa and Cute Ruhi!!

@TM Tanx for the thread!!👏

Brilliant post. I find physical intimacy only to be meaningful if it's coupled with an equally meaningful emotional intimacy, and that is where the beauty in Raman and Ishita lies. Even the cliche trip-catch-fall and button and whatever else scenes we've got, happened after much much build-up and were accompanied with awkwardness and uncertainty, matching the phase of the relationship at that time. I remember a scene towards the beginning of their marriage where Ishita tripped trying to reach for sugar, I believe it was, while in the kitchen with Raman, who was making tea. Instead of making that scene cliched and having Raman catch her or help her get up (which even Ishita was expecting 😆) and exchange an eyelock, Raman instead got it for her himself, I think. I may have some details mixed up. 😆 That scene was perfect given how early it was in their relationship, and anything physical would have been unrealistic and frankly almost juvenile. I'm happy with the pace the CVs have for Raman and Ishita's relationship, the emotions and physical moments are perfectly aligned with each other and the status of their relationship as it progresses.

Great post! 😊

Huh ... I finally got the time to put my two cents about this already well appreciated post ... In my opinion, the problem lies in our mentality or the way the general audience grows up or perceives things ... the problem starts with the time slot of YHM. As soon as we get to know that it slotted to be shown at 11:00 pm slot, our mind straightaway drifts to all kind of bold or mature content.

Now, the real problem starts with our understanding of adult content. Most of us are brought to believe that any media presentation becomes an Adult stuff if they only contain explicit sexual content. While, in reality, it can be mature because of violent scenes, or topics which are sensitive to children etc.For instance, the movie Black does not contain anything violent or adult in it and anyone will agree with me that it is brilliant piece of work ... yet in my view it is something which should be given an A certificate because it is suitable for adults and not for children as in it not something which children will understand or enjoy.

In the same way, YHM is a serial made for mature audience. If we look at the content of YHM, it touch-bases so many sensitive issues like:

1. Society's treatment to a woman who cannot bear a child (I think using the term infertile is a derogatory term).
2. Inter caste marriage between two diametrically opposite cultures and its implications
3. Effect of broken marriages on children
4. Bad parenting and its damaging effects on children
5. Custody and its twisted laws which sometimes favor women unfavorably
6. Second marriage
7. Understanding a relationship between a step mom and step daughter. All step moms are not Lalita Pawar or Bindus like shown in every second hindi movies.

I can easily write in detail about each of them but anyone who understands these issues will agree that all the issues are sensitive mature issues to be dealt with utmost sensitivity and may not be suitable or appropriate for a child or someone in early teens.

Therefore, I believe when Ekta started this show, her idea was to present a mature topic to audience who hook up to the TV late at night. While, I agree that eventually, they are husband and wife and they will not hold on to their chastity belt forever, but everything needs to happen at a steady speed. While, the accident track did get on my nerves and I for once wanted it to end ... but I in no way will relate to them if either of suddenly starts getting wet dreams for each other (I apologize in advance for the explicit language).

In my opinion, both Raman and Ishita are emotionally broken souls who have been brought together by circumstances and though they have reached a comfortable scenario, they have to travel a long way before they can even imagine something like that. Both of them have closed their respective hearts under big locks and the code to open them is pretty complex. While each episode is working on it, I think it is still a long way before this happens. I will rather have them go through a phase of friendship, trust (which they have started and has been tested for a while), followed by awareness of each other's presense, realization, denial, self - confrontation, confrontation with each other and then consummation.

If Ekta is intelligent, she can easily make so many episodes out of these individual steps and believe me, practically, this is what will keep us hooked to this serial also in longer run for the sole reason that YHM as always will be near to the actual reality 😊😊.

Cheers
