IshRa SS : bye bye the couch! (part 9 FINAL- 2nd august) - Page 17

Finally part 9 is here. I'm sorry i took so much time but i kept rewriting it as i wasn't satisfied with it. I'm still not satisfied with it but i'm too tired to write it again a fourth time. I hope you will like it as much as the previous parts.

Part 9 : IshRa's reunion

In the morning, Raman's first thought is "Ishita is coming back".

He is in a very good mood and he is nice to everyone. Romi and Toshi laughs about it. Raman is sitting comfortably in the living room, sipping his tea.

Romi : "Arre bhai, you're not going to the office today? You know that ishita is not back until the evening..."

Raman : "Chup kar stupid. I'm not waiting for ishita. I've placed an order online yesterday, I'm waiting for a delivery.

Toshi : "uh? What did you order?" At this moment the bell door rings.

Raman : "It must be it. I'll open."

Toshi is shocked to see that Raman has ordered... a new couch!!! Raman asks the men to go put the couch in his room.

Toshi : "Raman ? What is this couch for? Didn't you throw a couch just a few days ago?"

Raman : "I've changed my mind, I don't like the armchairs. You can take it for your room if you want."

Raman doesn't say it but he decided to put back a couch because his fight with Ishita had started because of the couch so he wants to make things like they were before. When the couch is finally installed, he is proud of himself.

He says bye to everyone and goes to the office.

During the day, raman keeps picking his phone to call ishita but then he remembers that she doesn't have a phone on her. He's getting both frustrated and anxious. He wishes he could talk to her. He is restless all day, looking at the clock again and again. The time is going by so slowly, it even seems to have stopped. Raman is also conflicted because he wishes he could have gone to the wedding with Ishita but at the same time he doesn't want to admit to himself that he can't spend a few days without his wife.

In the end he spends the day cursing Ishita : "Her screws are really lose, she didn't even took her phone with her... Who can be so stupid that they forget their own phone... Anyways this whole wedding thing was really annoying... She didn't even tell me that she was going, she just left! That's not done... And why didn't she invite me? This woman is unbelievable... She is the bahu of the house, the mother of my child, she can't just leave on a whim... I'll have to say two words about it to her... Bewakoof aurat! ... "

Not once he does any work because he can't concentrate. He just sits at his desk, waiting for time to pass.

A little before 4PM, Raman can't take it anymore and decides to leave for the airport. He is about to get out of the office when his phones rings.

Raman annoyed : "Allo?"

Ishita : "Raman? It's me Ishita."

Raman suddenly worried: "is everything alright? Why did you call me?"

Ishita : "Yes don't worry. I just wanted to let you know that my flight is delayed so I'll be an hour late. I'm really sorry"

Raman mimics in anger but doesn't make a sound

Ishita "raman?"

Raman : "Err Yes. Alright. It's good news actually I have lots of work at the office. See you then."

He is fuming and goes back to sit at his desk for another hour.

Ishita and Subbu get on the plane.

Subbu : "Give me your handbag I'll put it on top of our sits."

Ishita : "it's okay, I'll manage"

Subbu : "don't be ziddy ishu..." he freezes realizing he just called her by her old nickname. Ishita freezes too. they look at each other. Subbu is the first to recompose "I mean Ishita. Sorry."

Ishita : "it's okay..." She tries to laugh about it "For a moment, I thought I was fifteen again! That's why I was shocked!" but in reality, when he called her "Ishu" she had a glimpse of what her life would have been if she had married him. She is shaken by it but tries to forget it.

The stewardess comes to gives snacks at each passenger.

Stewardess to subbu : "Sir, would you like some biscuits, a drink ?"

Subbu : "No thank you."

Stewardess to Subbu : "Alright Sir. Would your wife like anything to eat?"

Subbu and Ishita looks at each other, shocked.

Subbu to the stewardess: "She is not my wife."

The stewardess is very embarrassed. "I'm really sorry Sir." She leaves quickly.

Ishita starts to laugh. Subbu looks at her funny : "Why are you laughing?"

Ishita : "If it had been raman instead of you, he would have fired her so bad, she would have ended up crying. Imagining the situation made me laugh." She closes her eyes, a smile still on her lips.

Subbu : "I don't see what's so funny in making someone cry. That seem rather mean to me..."

Ishita looks at him "Raman is not mean. He can be rude but he is not a mean, nor he is a bad person. He is... He is like fire, it can burn you if you're not careful but mostly, it makes you warm... inside out." She closes her eyes again.

They don't talk for the rest of the flight.

At the airport raman is impatient to see the flight's arrival. He waits at the arrival terminal and gets excited when he finally sees everyone coming out. When he finally sees Ishita, his heart starts pounding in his chest. He wants to push everyone aside and go hug her.

Raman : "Ishita! I'm here!"

Ishita doesn't hear him because there is so much noise and because she is a bit too far.

Raman sees her looking back and talking to someone behind her. Raman doesn't see who it is because there is a group of person blocking the view. Soon the group of persons leaves and Raman can finally see who ishita is talking to. It's a tall lean young man. Raman's face falls. He can't hear what they are saying to each other but Ishita is laughing happily.

Ishita starts looking around and her eyes falls on Raman. Her eyes widen and the biggest and brightest smile appears on her face. She almost runs to Raman.

Ishita : "Raman!" Her body acts on its own and she hugs him.

Raman is still a bit shocked to have seen her laughing with another man, plus he is shocked by the sudden hug. He doesn't hug her back. Because of his lack of response Ishita becomes shy and feels conscious about what she just did. She steps away : "Sorry. I'm so happy to be back, I don't know what I'm doing." She feels embarrassed.

Subbu is walking towards them. As he is coming, Raman looks at him, confused. Raman to himself "What is this guy doing? Why is he following ishita?"

Ishita follows Raman's eyes and sees Subbu. She says : "I forgot to tell you. I've come with Bala's brother. He will stay at Amma's for a couple of days".

Raman : "Bala's brother? You mean this is..."

At this point subbu is by their side. "... Hi... I'm Subbu." He extends his hand to raman. Raman is so shocked, he doesn't move.

Ishita elbows him and whispers "Raman...!"

Raman finally shakes subbu's hand. "Hi. I'm Raman. Ishita's husband."

Subbu : "Nice to meet you."

Raman stares at him. Too much is going on in his brain at this moment which makes him unable to answer. He thinks "This is Subbu. This is the man Ishita was about to marry." His brain is processing everything very slowly. Because he was lost in his own pain and problems with Shagun, he never considered Ishita's ones, and so he never really paid attention to Subbu, nor did he ever think he would one day meet him in the flesh. It's like a fictional character just appeared in front of him.

Ishita feels like the awkwardness : "We should probably get going. I can't wait to be home and to see Ruhi." She tugs at raman's arm to make him move.

They all sit in the car and Raman drive them to their house. During the drive, ishita sees that raman is not open to the dialogue. He is focused on the road and at no point he responds to general comments from Ishita or Subbu. Raman dislikes the idea of having Ishita's ex around him but he doesn't want to be rude as he knows that Ishita will take Subbu's side. Ishita is always polite and composed towards Shagun so Raman feels like he has to do the same towards Subbu even if his blood is boiling in his veins.

He doesn't even know why he doesn't like subbu. Is it because the man hurt Ishita in the past? Or because it's awkward to have your wife's ex around? Or maybe because... he is jealous? He doesn't have any serious reason for being jealous because he knows how faithful ishita is but he wonders why she is so casual with him... Doesn't she hate him? She doesn't have any feelings left for him, right? Raman tries to push all these ideas at the back of his mind.

His only goal is to be back at home, to let Subbu at amma's house and to spend an evening alone with ishita. He doesn't know for how long subbu will be around but he plans on keeping ishita far from the man.

Once at home, they are going up the stairs to the flat. Raman carries Ishita's suitcase. At the door's step, Raman expect Ishita to follow him inside his house immediately but she pauses. Raman looks at her wondering what she is doing.

Ishita : "Raman, I'll be back in a few minutes... I should probably bring subbu inside, and I'll say hi at everyone at the same time."

Raman : "But Ishita... Ruhi is waiting..."

Ishita : "Only 5 minutes I promise. Ruhi can wait that much. Plus she is probably eating right now."

Raman lets her go but glares at Subbu. Ishita thanks Raman. She rings at her amma's house. They are all happy to see her. Mrs Iyers is a bit embarrassed when she sees Subbu. They all sit in the living room.

Ishita explains that she met him at the wedding and that they decided to travel back together because he wanted to see Vandu. Bala explains that Subbu had planned to come at his house but he (bala) forgot to cancel the plan after Vandu and him came at the iyers. He is sorry but mrs iyers is understanding and accepts that Subbu stays at her house (as Subbu's mom often does) if it's okay with ishita. It's all settled and ishita goes back to the bhalla's house. During the evening Mrs iyer brags about her son in law the CEO, but Subbu bears it all politely.

During dinner Raman is very grumpy. No one knows why, even if Ishita suspects it's because of Subbu being next door. Ishita tries to act as normal as possible but Raman doesn't look at her and doesn't speak to her.

After dinner he goes right into his room and doesn't get out of it all evening. Meanwhile Ishita goes and spends time with Ruhi. Ruhi explains that Raman has been very grumpy the past few days. Ishita thinks to herself she should try to make things better.

Raman is angry at ishita for spending time with Subbu. He can't concentrate on his work so he decided to go sleep early.

Ishita enters the room, takes her clothes and goes in the bathroom to change. When she is back, she sees that there is a new couch. She is surprised and a bit disappointed. She looks at raman who is already under the covers, probably asleep.

She settles for the couch but can't find her pillow. She looks around and notices a pillow on the floor on raman's side. She goes to pick it up and notices that raman is actually sleeping with her pillow.

*Flashback from the phone convo*

Raman : "So ishita, when are you coming back ? I... I mean Ruhi, she really misses you, she can't fall without burying her face in your pillow"

*end of flashback*

Ishita realizes he was talking about himself and not ruhi. She thinks he is too cute. She is standing next to raman, smiling and hugging the pillow she took from the floor. After a minute she decides to sleep on the bed.

When she gets under the covers, raman (who was not really sleeping) turns around.

Raman : "what are you doing?"

Ishita : "err... I'm going to sleep?"

Raman : "very funny. I can see that. Why don't you go on the couch?"

Ishita : "I don't like this new couch. It's doesn't seem comfy. I'm sleeping on the bed from now on. If thats a problem for you, you can use the couch."

Raman turns his back to her and mumbles : "First she was angry because I threw the couch and now she doesn't like the new one. Bewakoof aurat, she doesn't know what she wants."

Ishita hears it and laughs. After a minute she leans towards raman and whispers : "I've missed you too Ravan Kumar!", Raman pretends he is sleeping so she smirks and turns her back to him and falls asleep.

Raman has butterflies in his stomach and fall asleep smiling.

In the morning, Subbu comes at the door to ask ishita if she wants to go to a picnic with the Iyers family. Ishita declines, saying that she'd rather spend the day at home with Raman and Ruhi.

Subbu starts to go back but Ishita asks Subbu to wait a second. She goes inside and comes back at the door.

Ishita gives him back the paper on which subbu had written his phone number : "Here. I won't need it anymore so you might as well take it back." Subbu is a bit shocked but understands that they will never be friends like they were before even though Ishita forgave him.

Before going he says : "Your husband... He seems a bit... churlish no? I mean, yesterday he didn't utter one word..."

Ishita doesn't get offended and laughs : "Since you asked, let me tell you : that's exactly why I love him."

Subbu leaves and Ishita closes the door. When she turns around she freezes as she sees Raman in pajamas. She doesn't know what he heard and what not. She tries to act casual.

Raman has a shock expression on his face. "... What... What did you say?"

Ishita smiles teasingly: "Nothing important. Start the breakfast, I'm going to wake ruhi up."

Raman is left scratching his head in the living room. Did she say what he think he heard or he is mistaken? He'll never know!

Excellent last part it was worth the wait

Loved it.I have been waiting for ur update for so long,have searched so many times whether u have update or not but didn't expect it to be the last part.I kind of felt it to be incomplete.

Yup reallyyy cutee update.. I loved it also. But I feel the ending cud hv been lile more clear. So I suggest if u write anothr part whr ishra just clears their misunderstanding n lile nokjhok n end it with a beautiful romance!
