It's the court scene and all the Bhalla's except Raman was with Ishitha. The iyers are also with her. Raman walks in. His heart is aching to sit on the other side with his ex-wife. He looks at his whole family on the other side. He is unable to look at them and lowers his eyes and sits next to Shagun. He is remembering what Ishu told him in the picnic spot and it hurts him. Tears roll down his eyes. Ishitha is badly hurt seeing him sit next to Shagun. She remembers the ruckus he created and the emotional talk of his. Both feel bad that they have to be sitting the situation where they have to be against each other. They never wanted something like this ever in life. Both loved each other to a great extent. This whole scenario was really making them descending from each other. We see Adhi also at the court. Raman questions Shagun
R: Adhi ko kyu eider laye ho
S: Adhi Zidd kar raha tha, mai kya karthi.
R: Tumhe use samjana chahiye tha, tum ussko yeha le aye?
Meantime the judge arrives and proceeding starts. Ishitha brings in the evidence of the eye witness, the car but no one could prove that it was Shagun. The Judge declares a break.
Shagun, Raman and Adhi are talking. Raman assures that nothing will happen to Shagun. Hide side Ishitha's lawyer is saying the case is very weak and we need some concrete evidence. Ishitha talks to Bala and Mihir.
We see Mihir is speaking to someone and mentioning to bring the master CCTV footage to the court asap. Shagun hears this. She informs Raman and Raman assures that she will be safe. They will not get any evidence and has destroyed all of them.
The proceedings start again. Ishitha's Lawyer is saying they are awaiting an important evidenace and that will be there in 10 mins. It's the CCTV footage of the accident and it clearly shows that Shagun has done the accident. Shagun becomes tensed.
S: No that cannot be they are lying
I Lw: How are you sure madam? We checked the footage, it's you
S: How can that be it cannot be me?
ILaw: No its you only. Since you have hidden all these evidence and it's an attempt to murder we want the court to give you strong punishment
S: Why will the court give me a strong punishment? It's not me, when you see the footage you will know. I have not done the accident, it's my son. Punish him if you want.
She stops right then and thinks what she has just said. Ishitha, iyers and Bhallas are shocked by the revelation. Adhi is shocked to hear his mom's words. Ishitha looks ate Raman and he is giving a wicked smile looking at Shagun. Ishitha becomes confused.
I Law: We are sorry my justice. We wanted the culprit to accept the crime, so we tried to pressurize her mentally. We do not have the footage with us.
Shagun is crying
I Law: Madam, your son is a minor was it not your responsibility to stop him. Where were you when the accident happened?
S: I was with him. I was sitting next to him.
I Law: didn't you know, he was a minor and was not supposed to drive the car.
Shagun is speechless. Ishitha is still looking at Raman, his smile vanished now and he looked at Adhi. His eyes were teary. Ishitha moves to the lawyer and says something. The Lawyer requests the judge that since it's revealed that the accident is done by a kid and that too by mistake Ishitha wants to withdraw the case. Meantime Raman's lawyer was handing over some papers to the judge. The Judge announces the hearing/ decision on the case is to postpone to tomorrow and also tells that Mr Raman Kumar Bhalla has failed a case against his ex-wife Shagun for the custody of his son on the grounds of she being a careless mother letting her minor son drive a car. The decision on the same will also be announced tomorrow.
Everyone in the family Ishitha, Iyers and Bhallas are shocked. So is Shagun, she looks at Raman with a fierce look. Shagun is being asked to do some formalities.
Raman takes Adhi with him outside the room. Ishitha is following them.
R: beta Adhi, you always thought I have not been a good father to you. I didn't keep up my promise. But I always loved you and I tried to prove you time and again that I love you by listening to your demands. I knew that you did the accident on the first day when your mom confessed that she did it. I agreed to support her for your sake. But I also wanted you to know the true colors of your mom. She has never loved you. Giving money and comfort alone is not love Adhi. I know you may not be happy listening to all this. I wanted your mom to tell the truth herself. Did you know why she didn't tell the truth?
A: Yes, because she loves me
R: Oh really, then why did she tell the truth when she was told that she will be punished.
Adhi doesn't have an answer.
R: She only loves herself. She is a selfish, characterless woman. Iam sorry but I think you also need to be aware of the reality. See Adhi, I always loved you, Ruhi and your mom. Your mom walked out of my life. She was always selfish and wanted to have her way out in everything. Her demands were never ending. I had a tough time satisfying her. She turned you also like her. Flashback:
When Raman knew that shagun did the accident and he agreed for Adhi that he will support Shagun. He goes out and comes back to take his sunglasses that he left in the table of the house. He hears the conversation between Adhi and Shagun's self talk.
S: Adhi, you don't worry, Raman will take care of everything. Please don't tell anyone that you did the accident and I was with you. I will handle it. I have accepted that I did the accident and let's maintain the actual truth as a secret from everyone.
Adhi goes to his room nodding to whatever his mom has said.
S ( Self talk): Mr Raman Kumar Bhalla, you always insulted me. Now I will show you and your Bhenji Biwi who am I. if I had told you that Adhi did the accident you would have handled it with more care and ensured that nothing will happen to him. Now you will do that for me, because of Adhi. When you can save me for Adhi, you will save Adhi at any cost. But what benefit will I get, I will ensure that while you help me I create rift between you and your Bhenji wife and show both of you your place. She gives a victorious smile
Back to current state.
R: See Adhi, this was your mother's approach. I know I have to protect you, but I will also have to teach you the right things. Tomorrow will be the custody case. Ishitha has been listening to all this. She is full of tears in her eyes.
