Burning The Last Bridge - IshRa & Shagun

If I am not mistaking this has perhaps been the longest track of the show so far, barring the unmasking of Pervmeet' real intentions in front of Ishita. For the past month this track has been hogging the screen space and wrecking havoc on our minds as well as the lives of the Iyer and Bhalla clan.

What makes me post this topic today is a little eureka moment I just had. I dont know how far I am right about this but maybe I finally see the intention of this track which has induced many a headaches among us.

Post the episode last night, especially the scene that Shagun and Adi had where she instructs him not to breath a word about anything to anyone - to Bala or even his friends... now there is no doubt in my mind that the culprit is Adi only, as I am sure perhaps is the opinion of a majority of us... Shagun has merely accepted the blame - she has lied to not only Raman but also Ashok and Perv regarding the same. Now I cant for the life of me understand her motives in hiding the truth of this accident from her BF or his side-kick though I can get why she is lying to Raman. Which is perhaps where this track is headed.

The custody of Aditya. As a parent accused of abuse towards his child Raman was denied custody of his son on a very serious allegation, now he pines for his son is no big secret to anyone, but perhaps his waiting period is over, cos perhaps his son may be back with him.

Letting on the truth of the accident to Raman had only one disadvantage to Shagun - that he may file a counter-case to sue Shagun and demand Adi' custody be revoked on grounds of negligence which now has a very serious cause - Adi endangering Amma' life in the accident as well as his own in the process.

All of us always had assumed Adi would be the trump card that Shagun can always use to return to Raman and his life, if and when the need demands it of her, but the makers with this track are smartly burning that last bridge too it seems to me.

Sometime back I had started a post Love & Parenthood - IshRa in which I had opined that IshRa' relationship is gradually changing - the gesture made by Ishita where she extended her support to parent Aditya, had shattered a huge chunk of Raman' defenses, now with the custody of Aditya granted to them, IshRa would undoubtedly face new challenges in parenting a brat who hates them to no ends... but in reforming him, his ways - they would come even closer then now.

It is clear scenes between adi and ishita were not just random fillers but perhaps indicating that adi will come to live with them

During that scenes felt as if adi was ok and not too hating towards ishita and was even listening to her so what do you feel

Now about this track well I think initially it is about to make Raman realise ishita importance and then it would be about custody battle like you said

Good post Aani, seems like the only positive thing to come out of this track would be Adi being reformed by Ishita. That would take some serious effort. I just finished watchinng the episode, and was disturbed by how Shagun coddled Adi. That child has endured so much mental abuse without him even knowing about it!

Remember the discussion we had about nature versus nurture?

Btw... It didnt look like Shagun even wants to return to Raman's life. At least I didnt get the feeling. Yes, she is manipulating him but not for 'that' reason. I beleive her driving force is still spite?!
