From Ashok and Shagun's talk, I think they are trying to protect Aditya. That would make sense for Mihir to be the culprit (because he is protecting Raman's son).
Also, I feel like they might be setting Romi with Sarika. I prefer Romi-Sarika together over Romi-Mihika any day!
