The whole episode was a mixture of genuine feelings of Raman for Ishita and few overdoses of pampering (though they were actually real to a minimal percentage!).
Overdoses:
1. Calling her out for Coffee and Shopping - The Real RKB, even if he wants to have coffee with her, he will somehow trick her into coming out with him and squeeze in a coffee but wont ask her directly - not as yet.😊
2. Drive pe chale? - Again a bit of pampering from Raman! He would really want to go for a drive with her, but he will make Ishu ask for it somehow, he wont propose! He recently proposed a walk to her and I guess that's a BIG step for RKB for a person he is! I just felt, Raman had to propose a drive to impress/pamper her!
3. His comment on gajra - Well, I believe he detests her usual sarees and anything traditional like gajra. He would have genuinely felt the flowers suited her, but the way he expressed showed cajoling RKB than the one who gives compliments too as taunts! 😉
Genuine Ehsaas:
1. Mangoes - He could have just went and got her black currant ice cream as he does not need to put any efforts into knowing what she likes - He knows that already! He wanted to impress Ruhi that day and he offered to get her icecream, but way he wanted to do it had no love whatsoever and he was just eyeing on Ruhi's happiness! But these mangoes? Just by overhearing her discussion with Vandu? He for sure had a real smile and expression at her acknowledging to her that he got them for her! When he told her - "Gul jaate hai!", that was a clear indication to her! There was no overdose whatsoever, he just wanted to give her what she likes! 😊
2. Promo moment - I dont need to explain this at all! Even he did not know that he was adoring her beauty! He wanted to pour water on her when he sat down next to her couch - he was counting hours! But it was his subconscious self that smiled so softly at her and enjoyed the moment like it wont happen again!
3. Sab meri biwi ko dekhenge - I have started to believe that whenever RKB flashes his precious smile of his, what preceded it, was a genuine statement. He did go overboard with gajra, but this line was his adoration of her beauty! If RKB would not have meant that line, Ishu wouldnt have believed it like the gajra dialogue - She would have asked again, "Taunt maar rahe ho?". But she believed the second sentence and the way he looked piercingly at her was only assuring her that it is a REAL RKB branded compliment! 😊
The CVs have handled the episode very maturely enough to confuse the audience and they were successful at it - They gave a perfect mix of overdose and true feelings - Ekdum equal. No, Ishita is not confused - she knew what she was up against in all the 6 points I mentioned above! She KNEW what was real and what was not except the promo moment as she was unaware - That scene was for us viewers to add 1 extra point under "Genuine" column for RKB's stance. But why did they keep that last part where they thought to themselves - Ishita thought RKB is changing and he was counting hours.
Ishita thought RKB was changing - Not because he was sitting through the holy smoke! It is a result of all that she observed of RKB in the past few hours. She was pointing at all his genuine gestures of RKB that I noted above. 😊
Raman was counting hours - In the name of being sweet, Raman actually gave away too many clues to her. For the person he is, he will be hating himself for being so frank in terms of sweetness by buying her mangoes and compliments about her looks. Those were from the bottom of his heart, but when has he ever been vocal about his feelings? He was pushed to admit those in the name of the challenge and he detested it. He does not want to be the sweet self anymore and he is afraid if all the underlying affection he has for Ishu will come out in words! He tells himself, "Bhalla you better get over with these remaining hours soon - This sweet avatar doesnt suit you at all for which it brings all the truth out!". He wants to get out of the clutches of this challenge asap, to back into the skin of taunty Bhalla just because he is way too comfortable handing himself that way! 😊
No one is faking - it is just that he cant fake it! 😊
