I love this show because of the way it does the small things, which make a big difference. Love is about so much more than just physical attraction, and includes respect for the other person and an understanding of who they are. I loved Ishita's line"does Raman really think I am so selfish? Yeh Raman bhi na. Sach mein" in fact, she actually said 'sach mein' twice. After all that Ishita has done for Ruhi and Raman's family, there is a part of him that thinks that she may not like Bala tutoring Adi. And this disappoints Ishita.
I hope all the spoilers we are getting for next week - the mangoes, the rituals and so on - are an effort by Raman to make up for this thought about Ishita. I wish that he first comes to know that she respects and understands his love for his son, and then regrets thinking badly about her, even for a moment, even for a minor thing. It is only then that I will able to enjoy all these delicious romantic scenes. If they are meant as a bribe by Raman to convince Ishu, they will still be fun, but far less touching and will dilute the distinctive nature of the show.
