Today's episode made it clear that because of the betrayal by Shagun

He is afraid to fall in love again.

This explains his behavior towards Ishita.

Which is why he becomes rude to her when he finds himself getting close to her.

i agree...raman is afraid of love...he is protecting himself from another heartbreak by his love...this is one reason why he is deeply falling in love with ishu but then due to his past and no trust in his fate...he tries to distracts himself from falling in love with her...but too bad...he fails...love has his own fate and destiny...it can never be planned like raman does...it will happen and it has happen to him once again...
