Hello Aani!
I liked your story specially the last part was super cute!😃 Such a change in their behaviour yet so comfortable. It was really nice to read their mutual concern for Ruhi.
Coming to their dance which was the hot topic for so many days, I am probably the only one who supports Raman's dramatic idea. I agree it was unfair to Ishita when he spoke like that but it reflects the security Raman feels. He knows she will understand because things have changed between them and she did. There is a stark contrast between the Holi dance and this one. In the former, he used her and had never given it a thought. It was only to show Shagun. But here, the scenario changed. Nothing he did was for Shagun's sake. He just pities Shagun. Later on he will learn to be indifferent to her which will finally put an end to all such drama. If Raman had just ignored Shagun and went ahead to dance with Ishita, it would have made no difference to Shagun who would count it as a victory which would be of no use. He might as well put her in place. I mean, from which angle did she find Raman ogling at her? Blind woman! She is a person desperately trying to cling to her past without which she has no future. It was even more evident in the "Sangeet" that Ashok's interest in Shagun is only because of Raman. If he forgets her, she loses everything.
Ishita, true to her nature, immediately confronted Raman, through the dance. She was constantly pushing him away but he kept on coming back and then wiped her tears. What a way to communicate! Beautiful! How can one resist such persistence! At least, that's what it looked like to me.
Their story is moving at a comfortable pace. They have yet to learn so much about each other and I am very much looking forward to it.
I hope you don't mind this long post. I was on a vacation for 2 weeks and coming back I see all these people against Raman and Shagun's dance, that I couldn't resist sharing my view.
Hi Sneha how are you?
Hope you had a blast on your vacations 😊
@bold - that is an influence of what we see on screen they are finally getting comfy with each other and of course Ruhi is their world so concern for her comes to them as natural as breathing
@red - in hindsight I agree with you, but this OS was written prior to Galliyan airing and at the time I was actually mad at him for doing what he did and felt really sorry for Ishita - so you could say my anger cooled down with the time but before I saw few things I was pissed off at him majorly I even commented something along those lines on a post Lucky made about the dance - that while Raman is moving on surely this is I suppose the last stage of the closure he needs before he becomes indifferent towards Shagun - he wants to shame her because he wants her to suffer what he must have once the word of her leaving him for Ashok must have spread. Getting a divorce is bad enough as it is in Indian society, but being divorced because your wife chose another man over you is adding insult to the injury beyond words - so this is his revenge sorta I guess.
@blue - she is a narcissistic, self-absorbed woman who knows the worth she has in her life is only courtesy of the effect she can prove she still has on Raman, as was shown in the Mumbai party Ashok already has a roving eye, and was out for the entire night when that brat was sick. So I assume he had a ONS with that woman - the only reason he has kept Shagun is to hurt Raman, but with Ishita slowly becoming his priority he is seeing the diminishing value of his keep - once he is assured Raman has absolutely no regard for Shagun he would even stop flaunting her around, He may keep her for Adi' sake though, since he knows that is the only weapon he still has left in his quiver to hurt Raman and with the custody being allotted to Shagun - if he intends to use Adi he has to let her stay with him
@pink - yep like I said once I was calm enough I saw the dance with a whole new perspective and esplly the part about wiping the tear like I replied to Mary
beneath that anger was also the pain that she had, the fact she was hurt by this callous move Raman made, so when the pain somehow overpowered the anger, she could not hold it in anymore and a tear came forth, BUT the fact that Raman not only noticed it, but he wiped it off, and that too in a way which would not allow anyone to even notice that it was there in the first place it touched her. She was already feeling insulted but to cry in front of so many people would have been even more humiliating to her - in wiping away that one tear he saved the remainder of her pride and respect which made her forgive him as per me 😳 the placing her head on his shoulder was also a symbolic way of stating she finds herself secure with him enough to let him see her tears, that he is the shoulder she can lean on - and only him and no one else. 😳
@purple - yep they barely have begun knowing each other... and the love is yet to come in unlike most members I don't find them in love just yet - as of now they are accepting each other - waking up to the fact that yes this marriage was a compromise one made for Ruhi - but regardless its one and she is his wife and he is her husband and now they have each other - as each other' partner and its a given they look out for each other and trust and respect each other, also care for one another 😳
