Part 14:
He didn't have to urge her any further after that. She pushed his shirt further away from his shoulders and lined up gentle kisses all along the wounded area and then finally rose up to kiss his cheeks...
Her face was close to him and he looked into her deep beautiful eyes!
He pushed aside the hair which troubled her eyes and their eyes met for a long moment before she snapped out blushing and buried her head into his chest. He kissed her hair and closed her in an intimate embrace. Both of them could feel the distance between them melting away and the new closeness was giving both a unique feel of ecstasy and peace which was beyond anything else!
Kyunki tum hi ho
Ab tum hi ho
Zindagi ab tum hi ho
Chayn bhi, mera dard bhi
Meri aashiqui ab tum hi ho

Days were passing by and both Ishita and Raman had comfortably fit into the groove of their new life. The next step or rather their consummation still seemed far as none broached into it. Ishita was shy to take the initiative while Raman didn't want to force his wife into it. He didn't know if she was ready for it.
He had just stepped out from a client meeting when his phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number. He clicked open the message. Pictures attached to the message were enough for him to know who it was from.
"B*****D", he swore under his breath as he quickly dialled the number
He picked the call in a couple of rings, "Hello Mr Raman...tumaara call ka hi wait kar raha tha..."
"What do you want?"
Raman's direct question was answered by a laugh and then a sarcastic reply, "Aah I should have known...Angry Raman Kumar Bhalla on the roll"
Raman growled back angrily, "Come to the point! Ab iss pictures ko bhejne ka kya matlab hai?"
He replied calmly, "ab Ishu tumaari biwi hai toh usske pictures tumhe hi bhejunga na? Or did you want me to put it on the internet, haan?"
"SUBBU...tumaari gandi zubaan se Ishita ka naam matth lena...warna agli baar kuch bolne ke haalat mein nahi honge"
"aaah gussa...main toh darr gaya...but don't worry...main itna bhi bhoora nahi hoom"
His act and the words only angered Raman more, "tum kitna kamee** hai yeh toh mujhe patha chal gaya...maine kabhi nahi socha ke tum jaise insaan Ishita ke life mein..."
He snapped him short, "Exactly Raman, main Ishita ki life mein tha, hoom aur humesha rahunga...a divorce cannot take away my name from her life..."
"Don't you dare Subbu...Ishita se tumaara rishta tha...par ab nahi...ab woh meri biwi hai...aur raha sawaal unn photos ka, it makes no difference to me..."
"farq toh tumhe padhta hai Raman warna mujhe call kyun kiya?"
His question hit Raman hard but he soon shot back, "dekho, photos bhejke, aise bhakwaas baatein karke mere aur Ishita ke beech daraar nahi dhaal sakte...samjhe tum?"
He laughed at that,"daraar main dhal raha hoom, huh? Jis rishte mein already daraar ho, wahaan main kyun kuch karoom?"
Raman was about to blast him but Subbu went on without stopping, "Main Ishita ko acche se jaanta hoom...woh mujhse pyar karti thi, aur ab bhi mujhe aur humaare pyar ko bhulaa nahi paayi...shaayad hi kabhi bhool payegi...aakir main usska pehla pyar hoom...humaare beech pati patni ka real rishta tha...woh photos uss pyar ka, nasdeekiyaan ka proof hai...Ishita ne gusse mein mujhe neecha dikaane keliye tumse shaadi toh karliya but I know she can never get over me...and she can never love you with all her heart..."
That was the maximum Raman could hear. He shouted back, "Shut up..."
Subbu only grinned and mocked him back, "kyun sacch sunnke bhoora laga, huh?"
Raman didn't speak more. He cut the call but his mind was troubled by the conversation. He wasn't jealous or insecure regarding his relationship with Ishita. He wasn't even much bothered seeing those intimate photos of her with Subbu but even then why did he want to blast Subbu? Why did he even call him? As Subbu said, did it really make a difference to him? Was he so unaware of where their relationship stood? Or was it the incomplete relationship causing a feel of insecurity inside him? Why wasn't she able to get closer to him? Was Subbu really the reason?
He smacked himself for the dilemma he put himself in. He scolded himself for thinking about all such illogical things. Yet so many questions exploded in his mind stealing away the calmness he usually carried in him.
More than anything else, he was angry on himself for having let that creep and his talk affect him so much. Hadn't he indirectly fulfilled Subbu's intentions? He skipped the meeting in the afternoon and took time off to stay alone for some time. He needed his time and space to get over this insane anger and incoherent thoughts. He couldn't let all this affect or hurt Ishita. He couldn't even let her know about this.
Elsewhere, Ashok and his brother sat sipping a drink in the conference room. Ashok slyly smiled after a call. Suraj was eager to know what the smile was for.
Ashok said after cutting the call, "You were right Suraj...uss Raman Kumar Bhalla ko kamzor karne keliye usske sabse weak point ko hi dabaana padega...Jab Shagun ne mere liye usse choda tha tab woh toot gaya tha...lekin phir woh Ishita aagayi...but now, our plan is back on track...History repeats! Cheers to Subbu!"
[Note: Ashok had lured Shagun offering her a more luxurious life and also promised her a well placed career in modelling and advertising world]
Suraj clinked his glass as he chuckled knowing the rest of the story well, "Raman ke kismet hi kharaab hai Ashok warna Subbu humaare haathon mein kaise aa paunchtha...Ek phone call karne ki dheri thi aur Subbu US se seedha humaare office mein land hogaya...ab woh wahi karte jaayega jo hum kahenge"
Ashok laughed and replied, "Yes of course, in fact ussne already kardiya hai...Raman ne itna important meeting cancel kardiya...Emotionally usse breakdown karne ka isse bada hathiyaar ho hi nahi saktha"
The brothers laughed hoping that the cancelling of the meeting was just the start of the downfall of their rival Raman Kumar Bhalla.
Raman sat in the bar with his untouched drink. Yes he had come there to calm down his mind but then it wasn't happening, rather his restlessness and the guilt conscience only intensified. He had to be at home with his wife but he had come here. He had promised her that he would never resort to alcohol as a solution to his worries or tension. The promise bound him and stopped him from drinking what he ordered impulsively.
He made up his mind to get back home after almost an hour of idling around. By now, he was sure that home was the only place which could give him the much needed solace. Home, he cherished happily that his stone built shelter had become a home because of her.
Meanwhile, Ishita was no less in tension. She had received a call from Subbu as well. Disgusted and disturbed she was. Added to that, she was also worried about what Raman was going through since Subbu had told her that he had sent a gift to her husband. A gift that her husband would love to see and those were memories of his wife's past marriage. She instantly knew that Subbu had been upto some nasty mischief to ruin her life with Raman.
She had tried calling Raman from that point but Raman didn't pick the call. She even called up his office to know that Raman had left early after cancelling all the meetings and appointments.
She couldn't understand head or tail of what was happening but the only thing which gave her a little relief was the trust she had on her Raman and their love. Their love, though not acknowledged, was beyond all these disturbances. All she wished for now was a love filled complete life with him. In these tense moments, she realized that she was wasting away their precious moments of life due to trivial issues. It was time she surpassed all her issues and moved on. She had to give Raman all the love he deserved and also desired. Her eyes fell on their wedding photo that he had fondly framed and kept on the side table. She took it in her hands.
Gliding her fingers on his handsome face, she pouted, "Where are you Raman? Why aren't you picking my calls? Miss you..."
His smile always made her smile but today she flared up, "Don't smile and annoy me...Just come back to me soon"
She hugged the photo and closed her eyes praying for him to come back soon. As if answering her prayers, the doorbell rang, snapping her out of her thoughts.
