OS- Raman Sirf Mera Hai

Ishita had a reunion party with her dental college friends and she was very excited about it. Many of them had come to Delhi after a long time and it would be fun to catch up with all of them. They had arranged for the reunion to take place at a fancy five star hotel. It was just going to be some five of them and Ishita was close to all the friends who were coming. It was also the time when all the girls would freely be able to share what they have been up to in the past few years. Ishita decided to dress really well for the party.

She wore a beautiful white and silver anarkali suit with long earrings and silver bangles. She also wore silver heels. She had left her hair open and looked gorgeous. Raman walked in the room and was looking for some files. Ishita saw him but chose to keep quiet. She thought to herself that she does not want to argue with Raman before leaving as she was in a good mood. Raman suddenly looked at Ishita who was arranging things in her bag and stopped in his tracks. She looked angelic in the white and silver dress. He had a sudden urge to go hug her. He shook himself out of his reverie and berated himself for thinking such things.

He looked at her and said, "Itna kyun taiyaar hui ho, mote logon ka beauty contest main part le rahi ho?"

Ishita was in a good mood and really excited about her girl party and so decided not to argue and smiled at him and just replied, "Haan, don't you think I'll win?"

Raman is stunned at her answer and is standing with his mouth open. His Jhasi ki Rani did not argue or retort back. He is really surprised. She comes close to him, puts her finger under his chin and says very sweetly, "mooh bandh karlo, macchar chala jayega andar." She giggles and leaves from there. Raman suddenly realizes that he had come take his file and was getting late for his meeting.

Ishita reached the venue and met her friends. They all hugged each other and were very excited and happy to see each other. They all sat down on their pre-reserved table and ordered something to drink.

Priyanka (friend 1):," Oh ho Ishita, you are as beautiful as ever. College main bhi ladke tumhare looks per marte the aur ab toh tumhara pati tumhe chodta hi nahi hoga." Everyone laughed on her comment and Ishita smiled while thinking in her mind how Raman is least interested in her.

Just then Raman walks in and notices Ishita sitting with a group of girls. He is again stunned by how beautiful she looks but out of habit mutters, "Yeh madrasan bhi yahin hai. Aur yeh kin logon se milne aayee hai.? Bewkoof Aurat." Raman then spots his client and goes and sits on the table with him. Ishita is busy with her friends and does not notice Raman. Raman has a full view of Ishita from where he is sitting. He is sure if she looks this side then she will also be able to see Raman but then Ishita is involved in her own conversation.

Megha (Friend 2)," Ishita , sharma mat. Humein kuch toh bata apne husband ke baarein main. Shaadi main toh tumne hum sabko bulaya nahi. Aisa bhi pati ko kya chupa rakha hai."

Ishita, "Arey tum log bhi na jabardasti meri leg pulling kar rahein ho. Woh shaadi ini jaldi jaldi main decide hui ki main sabko bula nahi payee. Aur itna bhi kuch interesting nahi hai mere husband main batane ke liye. Anyway, phele tum log apni sunao. Anjali, I heard you just had a lovely daughter." She said to her friend 3.

Anjali," Haan yaar, She is 3 months old now. She is so adorable and I totally love her. We have named her Ananya and ghar main pyaar se Annie bulate hai. main abhi usse apni mother-in-law ke pass chodke aayee hun."

All the friends were discussing each other lives and enjoying the conversation. They were all very engrossed in catching up with each other and were oblivious to their surroundings. Raman could not help but notice Ishita every two minutes. He thought she looked really beautiful. He could see her talking animatedly and loved to see the movement of her hands. He could see her eyes twinkling. She laughed occasionally at some things her friends were saying and her laughter seemed to send tremors down his body. But when Ishita tucked a stray strand of hair flitting across her face and tucked it behind her ears using her left hand, Raman's heart did a somersault and time came to standstill. He had the widest smile possible plastered to his face.

Priyanka, "Kaira, hum sab ki kahani to tum bade maze se sun rahi ho. Hum sabki shaadi ho chuki hai aur kuch ke toh bacche bhi ho gaye hai. Tum Ishita ko toh bada chida rahi ho uski nayee shaadi aur naye naye romance ke liye, but ab humein yeh to batao ki tumhara kya irada hai?"

Kaira (Friend 4),"oh please, yeh shaadi and all is not for me. When there are so many fish in the ocean, why do you want me to be stuck with just one?" And then she laughed making everyone laugh too.

Kaira continued," Arey I just love my play girl life and ladko ko kya hai, jab chaho ek naya mil jaata hai. Aish karo aur phir jaane do. And waise bhi ab main ek expert flirt ho gayee hun."

Megha," Toh humein bhi zara apne yeh expert skills dikhao na."

Ishita," Tum bhi na Kaira, college time se bilkul same ho. Chalo aaj phir maza lele tumhari flirting ka."

Kaira," Of course, abhi dikha deti hun. Ab dekho na saamne woh handsome ladka jo us table per baitha hai kabse meri taraf dekh kar smile kar raha hai. Aaj toh usse apne jaal main fasa ke dikhati hun."

Everybodu laughs and turns to look at Raman. Ishita looks at him and is stunned. She thinks in her head,"Yeh Raman yahan kya kar rahe hai. Aur yeh Kaira ko dekh rahein hai. Mere hote huye dusron pe line maar rahe hai. But mere hone se kya, unhe kaunsa mujh main interest hai, main toh Ruhi ki maa hoon, unki biwi thodi."

But Ishita is feeling jealous thinking that Raman is looking at other women. She turns towards Kaira and is about to tell her that the man she is looking at is Raman and is her husband but by then she notices Kaira signalling the waiter to come to them.

Raman on the other hand notices all the women turning to look at him and laughing. He thinks, "Jarur Jhansi ki Rani meri buraai kar rahi hogi aur sabke saamne mera mazaak uda rahi hogi. Koi iske mooh pe taala kyun nahi laga deta."

Kaira tells the waiter to send a drink for Raman at his table and tell him its from her. The waiter takes the drink to Raman's table and points at Kaira to tell him who sent the drink. Ishita is sitting beside Kaira and so Raman thinks that Ishita has sent the drink to him," Yeh Jhansi ki Rani subah breakfast main kya khake aayee hai jo mujhe drinks bhijwa rahi hai." He raises the glass and smiles sarcastically at Ishita which she misinterprets as him smiling at Kaira. Ishita's heart is burning with jealousy and she makes a face.

Priyanka,"Tumhe kya ho gaya Ishita?"

Ishita stammers," Mujhe...mujhe kya hua hai? Kuch bhi toh nahi."

Then Kaira writes a note on a napkin and tells the same waiter to give it to Raman. Raman opens the note and reads it, "Bas door se yuhin mujhe dekh kar smile karte rahogey, ya aagey bhi kych irada hai."

Raman thinks in his mind," Yeh Jhansi ki Rani ka dimaag aaj sach main kharab ho gaya hai. Subah se daure chad rahe hai isko aaj. Isse toh main ghar jaake deal karta hun." Thinking this he keeps the napkin inside his breast pocket in the coat. However, what he did not notice was that behind the napkin Kaira had written, "Hey handsome, if you are interested then fold this napkin and keep it close to your heart and I will know."

Ishita sees Raman keeping the napkin in his pocket and now she is fuming with anger and jealousy. She decides to tell Kaira to back off as Raman is her husband. She turns around to tell Kaira this but by then Kaira has picked up the rose kept in the centre of the table for decoration and has gone to meet Raman.

At that very moment, Raman's client gets up, shakes hands with Raman and leaves. Just then Kaira reaches there, gives the rose to Raman and starts saying something that Ishita cannot hear. Raman has a horrified and confused look on his face. He does not understand what Kaira is saying and what signal is she talking about.

But this is too much for Ishita to bear. She gets up and comes and stands between Kaira and Raman. Ishita by then has lost herself in her own emotions and the Jhansi ki Rani in her is awake. Turning her lecture mode on, she narrows her eyes at Kaira and says," Hadd hai Kaira, kaisi ladki ho tum. Kahin bhi kisi ke saath bhi chalu ho jaati ho. Aur please inn per nazar daalne ki bilkul jarurat nahi hai."

Kaira," Arey Ishita tum kya..."

Ishita cuts Kaira short and screams, "Mujhe kya ka kya matlab hai. Yeh mere husband hai. Aur tum itni der se in per line maari jaa rahi ho. Tumse main kabse khena chaha rahi hun main. But tum toh apne aap ko Miss World samjhti ho. Drinks or chits behj rahi ho. Dekho apni buri nazar mere pati se door rakho."

By this time Raman has understood the entire situation and he understood how Kaira thought Raman is looking at her while he was looking at Ishita and how he misunderstood that the drinks and chits were by Ishita though Kaira had sent them. He starts smiling seeing his Jhansi ki Rani being so possessive about him and defending him vehemently. He is about to burst out laughing. He decides to stop the non-stop rant of Ishita and clear the confusion but then he hears the next words uttered by her that stop him in his tracks.

Ishita ," ...door rakho. Main Raman ki patni hoon aur RAMAN SIRF MERE HAIN. Samjhi tum"

But just then Ishita realizes how she has been behaving and the last line she said strikes her. She thinks in her mind, "Ayyo Murugan, yeh Raavan Kumar ke samne maine kya bol diya. Ab yeh mujhe nahi chodega." She coyly looks up to see Raman staring at her intensely.

They have an intense eye lock and the other friends pull Kaira away. Megha tries to joke so that the tense situation can be diffused.

Megha, "Arey Ishita, toh apne Raman se milaougi nahi hamein." Ishita blushes deeply and is still looking at Raman. Raman decides to take charge of the situation and introduces himself to all her friends. He realizes Ishita was excited in the morning to meet all her college friends. He tells them that he was glad he met them all and he tells them how he thought the drinks and chit were by Ishita. They all laugh at the misunderstanding while Ishita is still standing quietly as she does not know how she will face Raman at home.

He then looks at Ishita and says, "Chalo Ishita, ab main office jaata hun. Tumse toh main ghar pe milunga." He gives her a mischievous smile and a wink and Ishita knows that she is in trouble.

Ishita finishes the lunch with her friends and reaches home. She decides that she will pretend to sleep or work when Raman comes so that she does not have to face him. she is very nervous.

Raman decides to come home early from work. Ishita pretends to be helping Ruhi with her homework and does not come out of Ruhi's room till late in the night. She is hoping that Raman would have slept by the time she goes to that room.

She quietly tiptoes into the room. She sees Raman lying down on the bed on his stomach. She can't see his face. Raman is actually using his cell phone and is facing the other side so Ishita cannot see that he is awake or the phone. She assumes he is sleeping like that.

She goes quietly on the other side of the bed to pick up the pillow and take the duvet so that she can go and sleep on the couch. She extends her hand to hold the pillow and just then Raman who had felt her presence turns around and holds her hand.

Ishita is shocked. She doesn't know what to do. She wanted to avoid him and here he is gazing at her and she can see his eyes are sparkling. She is trying not to melt under his gaze. She did not want Raman to know that she had fallen for him. She had vowed to herself that she will never let Raman know this.

Raman clears his throat and Ishita tries to get her wrist out of his grip but he merely tightens it and says," Toh kaisa raha friends ke saath lunch?"

Ishita stammers a little and looks the other side, "Haan accha tha. Ab mujhe sona hai. I'm very tired."

Raman," Haan tired toh hogi. Aaj ek aur jung jo ladi tumne." Raman teased her reminding her of her fight with Kaira.

Raman continues," Waise Kaira thi bahut hot. Kitne pyaar se line maar rahi thi mujh pe." Ishita is seething inside but keeps quite. Raman is laughing silently looking at her face.

Raman," Waise tumhe nahi lagta tumhe mujhe kuch batana hai."

Ishita," Raman mujhe tang mat kariye aur light off kijiye. Main so rahi hun." Ishita faked anger and jerked her hand away from Raman and started moving towards the couch. Raman stands up and pulls her hand again.

Raman," Arey kahan jaa rahi ho, Sirf apne Raman ke saath yahin bed pe let jao"

Ishita turns red and opens her mouth to offer an explanation. She does not know what to say and closes her mouth again. She again says." woh main... actually..main" and shuts her mouth again. (just like Ishita behaved in the button scene)

Raman is enjoying her situation and says," Kya hua, dialogue writer aagey ke dialogues likhna bhul gaya. Us line ke phele ka itna lamba bhashan likh kar thak gaya hoga bechara. Aur tumhe toh sirf ladna aata hai, Jhansi ki Rani kahin ki. Tum romantic dialogues kaise complete kar sakti ho"

Ishita, "Raman aap har waqt shuru ho jaate hai."

Raman laughs and envelopes Ishita in a hug tightly and whispers into her ears, "Abhi kahan, abhi toh main shuru hounga."

Ishita blushes and buries her face in his chest.
