I agree totally
i posted this in another thread
One thing i liked was , irritable though he was , not for a moment did Raman believe Sarika's complaint was true
he thought she was lying and was constantly telling Ishita to vomit the truth
Ishita should have told him the truth before they reached home rather than taking decision to tell in front of the family
Sexual predators in the family must not be dealt with innocent bravado . It was a delicate situation . Very good that she has opted not to be quiet and bear it , but there was ample time to tell Raman instead of that stony silence inspite of his repeated queries and a declaration that i will speak only in front of full family
why
did not he deserve to know before them
had full family come to get her out of jail or had he come alone
even her family could not get her out , he could and did . So why was he not told . Yes , he would be incredulous which is natural but perhaps a lot of questions would rise in his mind before they reached home , even Parmeet was afraid of him being brainwashed .
This is no defence of Raman . I am neutrally enjoying the story .
Ishita called Bala , but it was Raman who got her out by pulling strings and he did not for a moment believe Sarika's trumped up charge . He deserved a detailed special hearing . After that would be later story .
When i see the serial , i see that there is lack of trust on both sides . Today most of the forum blames Raman for not believing Ishita outright . But i even see her lack of trust on him . She did not tell him even though he asked her many many times . She trusts Bala more , even discusses Raman with him . Not that i blame her for that . Its somewhat natural given her stormy relationship with Raman . But if Raman had been more close to his bhabi and discussed Ishita with her it would have been seen as an insult to her by quite a few . The fact is , he is a troubled man but he discusses his problems with no one and has arrived at his own judgement of Ishita's character , that she is a girl from a good family and obviously that girl Sarika must be lying .
But Ishita simply brushed his efforts to get her free for granted , did not bother to apprise him of anything and declared she will tell all but in front of full family . She has Bala on one side as her soul confidante and equates Raman with the full family she is living with .
No , Raman is her husband , seperate from other in laws and even Bala .
Yes he would be incredulous but incredulity would be by ANYONE listening to this , even own parents r incredulous when stories of sexual predators within family r blurted out . There can be no revelation without incredulity from the listener , it is spontaneous . But facts sink in and unconscious observations start . And spouses should be honest with each other , stormy or placid relationship .
First rule of marraige ...husband is NOT equal to in laws . He has a unique , special , perhaps most important place in the equation of life .
Same applies to wife .
Vultures and crows come to peck when spouse is uninterested in wife . This will set Raman re thinking . But the lack of trust issues r from both sides , though i hope i am proved wrong this time and Raman looks askance at Parmeet after this and catches him just like he caught Adi .
It does not matter about surmising whether he would have believed her or not , many times has Ishita believed Shagun over him . One HAS to tell husband first . Husband and in laws r not same . Still if he does not believe , other steps can ber taken .
