The other gems that struck me in the last 2 episodes

The last two episodes have been so content rich with so many big things happening.
Many great posts have already gone up about them - the birth, the baanjh thing, ishra's coma wala convo etc.

I just wanted to mention some other random gems in the two episodes - there were so many:

CVs, Ekta, Writers, Cameramen, entire cast and crew gave us 2 riveting, meaningful, action rich, tear-tugging episodes, rarely seen in a soap. 👏👏👏 Take a Bow.

Romi - he was fabulous - they really showed his better half . He quickly took on the role as the young man of the household in the situation. While respectful to everyone, carrying out orders, even cajoled the policeman 3-4 times after he lost Ishita.. He wasn't afraid to go out there unlike the weasel. He also looked really proud of his Ishubhabhi and touched by the birth. Maybe he can still be redeemed with some guidance and discipline. -- hmm why do i feel Ishita might have something to do with it?

Policeman that Raman had the altercation with: He really acted and delivered his dialogues well. Even when Raman tried to bully him with " aap jaante ho mai ko hoon". The policeman, focused on saving lives, didn't bat an eyelid said "dange khatm hone ke baad, meri complaint likhwaale, meri vardi utaar dena, pucch faadliye meri, par na jaane dunga mein. 👏

Hanuman Chalisa - loved that they actually played the entire chalisa during the birth and the fast version they chose.

Raman's Incredulous cum Impressed expression when he heard Ishita deliverd the baby - how do you even do that?
Toshiji validating with Ishita if baby was completely fine - "baby bilkul theek thaak hai na? Roti hai?, tukur tukur dekhti hai? Sunti hai? Haath Pair theek hai?" - and thats how they created mothers.

Mr Bhalla: "Aap ne mera seena aaj garv se, aur chouda kar diya"

Although, pages have already been written about this, Karan was glorious in his charming, flirty, gracious, humble-with-a-slight attitude pulling Ishu's leg mode - i really loved the long and really genuine honest conversation between Ishra

Did you all notice any another gems?

Great post. I logged into to the forum hoping to read something like this, and you did not at all disappoint!

Yes, the policeman struck me also, as did Romi. Raman was unbelievable. I did not expect him to go all soft and be genuinely congratulating Ishu. I kept thinking there was some trick, and that he would start his outburst.

Another thing perhaps worth mentioning is the Punjabi ladies' total trust in Ishita, whether she was driving the car or delivering the baby. The CVs showed them to be innocent people in need of help and totally trusting the person who was willing to take charge and to be of assistance. It was also interesting to see this same trust turning to suspicion and fear with Bala's mother spewing all kinds of superstitions, and then back to remorse, after the ladies saw how much they had hurt Ishita with their attitudes and actions.

It was very appropriate that the newborn was a girl and was named Srishti, which means "creation." It is symbolic that little Srishti's birth is already creating all kinds of magic, plotwise.

Mothering, "othering," and "smothering" appear to be the theme of the week. The birthing of a newborn, led to the "othering" of Ishita. Ruhi's intervention, and Ishita's realization of her newfound identity as a "non-barren" woman because she was a mother was an important marker in the plot, which made a strong statement about the importance of mothering. Finally, the mothering theme culminates in the the false news of Ishita's pregnancy. Who will be "othered" as a result of this and subsequent revelations? How will this affect the eavesdropping Pervmeet's plan to smother Ishita with his unwanted attention? We can hardly wait for things to unravel.

This is such a great post. You know what even I wanted to make a post abt the policeman. YHM has some great policemen. First during the scene where Raman thrashes the goons, then Raman and the policeman in the curfew and then there was this policeman who Romi met and called him "tau".
It's commendable how much the cvs pay attention to the minor characters/actors and sub-plots and give us a wholesome experience. We love and enjoy each and every scene. It is a gratifying experience. Never have I liked a show so much. Hats off to the makers for making each scene so special.

Great post.

For me :

Romy's good Side : I am impressed with Romy this week.
And Toshi jee's Pride in her DIL : was praising her DIL saying that Ishu is also her DIL.
Puja's Trust on Ishu : Puja was another one. She trusted Ishu from the beginning of her labor pain to the delivery like she knew her for a long time. And, also she praised her as Devi when Ruhi stood up for Ishu.
Trisha's open mind : Though I don't like her, but the way she accepted Mihir's truth about Mihika, was very positive from her.

Hey Sneha lovely post as usual
I know the CVs are outdoing themselves arent they 😛 this is really making it hard for me to remember this is a Balaji product 😆

I am having these major HAILA moments with this show 😆😆

And I have been impressed with some things especially in this curfew track

Beginning with Romi - I was so surprised by his new side - this little kid persona he adopted especially when Pooja was delivering. Like you said he needs a little guidance and there is hope for redemption.

There was an innocence about his character I really saw in this track as was his role as an obedient son/BIL. I think the thing with Romi is - since he is shown as this guy who is graduating now - in his teen years - when he needed the guidance the most his parents neglected him. Not by purpose but because Raman and his marital issues preoccupied their mind and later Ruhi' care. Along the way he was left to fend for himself in a way. And its around this time may be that he fell into this bad company which corrupted him so.

With the proper person to guide him he can still find his way back.

The policemen - I was really pleased with how CVs showed the problems these guys face as public we are quick to blame them but look at things from their POV - limited men with limited ammo trying to protect people who outnumber them against people who overpower them sometimes they have it tough.

Toshiji - I loved her in this track not for her drunk act like most but because she did something that made me want to hug her. When she explained to Ruhi on her insistence what the word Baanj means she empathized to her how the word is wrong and has negative things attached to it. What really got to Ruhi was her stating the word is wrong. She is finally waking up to Ishita' pain in my opinion.

Raman/ Karan' expressions and his dialogues - I have no words for the man and his writer really. He was given this huge range to perform this week since the curfew began - the authoritative elder bro and son who asked Romi to stay back at home and ask the others to do the same. The kind man who was ready to help a woman in her hour of need when he rushed to get an ambulance. The harried, frantic, worried husband who was scared out of his mind about his wife' safety to the proud father who felt a surge of pride at his daughter admonishing the woman who chided her mom. To again a husband - one who defended his wife and later was adoring and teasing her without letting her know how much he means the words he said to her.

I love LOVE how Raman is changing his strategy with Ishita now. Previously he used to hide behind his anger and rude retorts to not give away his feelings - of humiliation, hurt, shame, pain. Now he is opting for this teasing, exasperated mode - to hide how he has begun admiring her, proud of her, amazed by her and being defeated by her . Because he is giving up his armor slowly piece by piece now - she is taking over his mind, heart and life and he - he is letting her do this. As there is no escaping her now - how can it be? When she makes his daughter so happy and feel loved/ when she takes care of his family, when she saves and protects him even when he doesn't ask it of her. In a way Ishita is doing all these things that he never expected of her, but wanted from his wife always. She is filling in the mold he had in his mind when he thought of what he needs and wants in his partner.

The indifference is gone now. Love wont be far behind and yes, he will be the one to fall for her first 🥳

Thank you - i must have got your telepathic message. Are you back?

Yes, the policeman struck me also, as did Romi. Raman was unbelievable. I did not expect him to go all soft and be genuinely congratulating Ishu. I kept thinking there was some trick, and that he would start his outburst.
Ha ha - that was another chamatkar😉 yesterday. I loved the way he puposefully sauntered over and stayed present during the whole conversation - I kept on expecting a fight

Yes I was surprised how easily they got swayed by Bala's mom. The kacche kaan from Pooja comment was apt.

It was very appropriate that the newborn was a girl and was named Srishti, which means "creation." It is symbolic that little Srishti's birth is already creating all kinds of magic, plotwise.

Oh thanks - didn't notice the symbolism

Mothering, "othering," and "smothering" appear to be the theme of the week. The birthing of a newborn, led to the "othering" of Ishita. Now there's a gem - where do you come with these. Wow. Of course I would "druthering" that Pervmeet wouldn't be smothering😉

Thanks

Yes, I liked theTau policeman scene too and the way Romi tried to cajole him

The attention they pay to the details and the pride they take in it produces the a quality show we get to experience. Fully agree, easily one of the best shows on indian telly.
