I don't think Raman will take Bala's mother seriously as he already know her bad nature to taunt Ishu. Despite his behaviour, subconsciously he believes in her. After all he did protect her twice from Bala's mother so when he fall for her so hard, he will not tolerate any bad word about Ishu.
