Shagun is a materialistic self obsessed woman. She likes being liked by people, being praised for her outer/external beauty... She always knew Raman is a gem of a man... but she also knew, being the average hardworking person at job, he cannot give her what she really wants. And now that Raman has ALL that SHE wanted herself/her partner/husband to have,... she WILL be insecure. Because Raman is her past and SHE left him. She wants to feel superior. FOREVER.So when it is said that Raman hasnt moved on, still lives in his past, loves shagun, will never be able to forget his first love etc etc... it sounds good to her. She wants to hear more of it, AND wants to see Raman in distress because she cannot come to terms with the fact that she judged HIM wrong. Wrong that he was a looser, wrong that he couldnt give her and her children the future she wished for them... and honestly, he really couldnt, he wouldnt have been able to do this if she were to stay with him. Had she not betrayed him with Ashok and left, even he wouldnt have known he had that urge, fire, and that stint in him to become what he is today... that drive, it came ONLY from Shagun... not because he HAD Shagun... but because he NO LONGER had Shagun.
