What makes you stop watching an Ekta serial

I have to admit that I have never watched one of Ekta's serial to the end. She starts them off really well but ends up with the same old twisted stuff so as soon as one of my pet hates starts and I decide I don't like being treated like an idiot I stop watching. A few years back Ekta made a comment that if you don't like it then don't watch it so I just take her advice. 😉😆

Here's my list of serial killers and how they will be used in YHM-

1. The male lead always gets remarried. Normally to the wife's sister while the wife has had an accident/lost her memory/gone AWOL or because there are no other men in India to save the honour of the family 🤢 (In YHM it will be Mahika after Romi misbehaves)

2. Time leaps of more than a year 😡 (When YHM started Raman was shown wearing glasses but not now so unless he has had eye correction surgery the glasses will be used to age' him after a leap. Actually they made him look the part when dealing with the police and in the boardroom. 😳Would like to see him wearing them on/off like he does formal/casual clothes and especially when dealing with AskSha! ).

3. Dragging 🥱(Look at the current track)

4. Too much non-factual hotch potch 😲(Raman the great businessman hasn't heard of a DNA test. Can be done from a swab of the mouth so please borrow Ruhi's toothbrush😆.)

5. Constantly showing the male as being stupid so he is being continuously rescued by the female 😕(Look at how Raman is shown to believe his worst enemy blindly who will only see the light when Ishu points it out to him)

The first 2 will definitely make me stop watching and the rest will make me an intermittent viewer sooner or later. So how about you?

Inmost of ekta's shows she makes the audience feel so much pain, hurt and drag the track so much to a point where we get exhausted and then she plans the great reunion, before some other churail walks in again!!

So far with YHM she has given us good times and the bad times.

Ishra marriage, ruhi's custody, tandons arrival they were all a lovely phase :D

I like this post because you are completely Right...
I also HATE when a man gets married to TWO SISTERS not done.
Every woman who's introduced during the show falls for the male lead.
The female lead needs to go with the antagonist in order to save someone or the family honor😒
The only great part that it starts with a bang lots of followers, viewers who lost interest in the process and say bye.
Female leads received a phone call just move out of the house w/o informing anyone, no need to talk with the husband she turns into Lady bond...
Well Lots of factors as well as Too many leaps hope here, there's no leap as we'll not like to lose Ruhi.
Better it is shown the doctor was not right to say that Ishita can't conceive and they continue on that instead of leap...

well said i hate her show she use to do the same thing , she drag her show so long and with out finishing it or change the cast every time so much drama i hate it

I agree with u. But I addicted to this show from first episode itself.and I like twists and turns😆 without twists there is no meaning...I want to see DIVAN onscreen everyday. thats it😊.

it always happens thier leads are never together
but this seem to be different hopefully becoz.its adapted frm novel.
till now all is fine soo im enjoying

I've watched a few Ekta serials and I have to say that some of the worst things about them that makes me want to throw something at the screen is how MARRIAGE is made a complete mockery of, (Kashish married like 7 times in Kahin to Hoga) dead people come back alive all the time (HATED what happened with that in Kahin to Hoga and Kasturi) and she breaks up and jorofies jodis again and again for the most dumb reasons (Kasturi serial ruined my days whenever it went bad cos Robbie and Kasturi the leads broke up and made up SO many times on the name of silly sacrifices it killed me)

I really hope none of those dumb twists will come in this serial.

Leads are separated for stupid reasons. I think Shagun track if reserved for the same in YHM. The moment that happens, i'll bid farewell to the show.

Sacrificing drama is superficial. Its also possible in the near future that Ruhi will go back to Shagun from Ishitha.

Leaps are also boring in her serials.Flavour of the soap is lost wit leads getting old.

You left one point. Paternity of a kid is always subject to question. Male lead always misunderstands heroine.

If any one of this is to happen, i'll quit. At times, i feel as to why Ekta is producing this soap. Let this hate track prolong. Once love starts, mata's tedha dimaag will conspire against it.
