I am reading the novel now and that seemed to be the most possible thing that she could say.
In my opinion , setting spy was a underhand thing that Raman of the novel did . He was not man enough to confront Shagun directly though he understood something was amiss. Employing a dectective agency against your wife is not the right thing to do .That was the gray shade of Ramans character .Do not misunderstand I am not trying to justify Shagun.

Hi Sunaina,
Is there a copy of the novel available online? If it is, can you send me a link?
Oh okay..thanku sunaina 😊Originally posted by: sunaina02
I dont know whether it is available online .I bought it from Amazon .Now on the 107th page
Hmm, correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Raman actually find out about Ashok-Shagun when he got the promotion and refused it because Ruhi was only 6 months old (or something along those lines) which caused Shagun to say that he had no ambition, etc and then left him. So if that was the case, him having a private detective follow Shagun wouldn't make sense.
