Raman: "Ishita?"

Ishita: "Ummm...ummm"

Raman: "ISHITA??"

Ishita: "Iblueu" Raman's expression made her gulp... "I mean I believe that you are the best dad...and the better parent to Ruhi. I believe you."

Raman ought to have jumped up with joy...finally he had redeemed himself in front of the one person who was the rightful judge of what was best for Ruhi.

Raman: "You are mistaken Ishita." The pain in his words cut through Ishita. She opened her mouth to oppose, but... "Im as selfish and mean as Shagun and Ashok. They still don't have the bond with Ruhi...I'm the biological father and her only parent for the last six years. And I have simply been revengeful...hatred has filled my day with an obsession for success...and my nights with a terrible longing. I could have poured all my love on Ruhi...yet I chose to be blind to her...blinded by my sense of being wronged...I don't deserve her Ishita."

Ishita couldn't look away...Raman...the ever snobbish...self-imposed introvert...had dared to bare his heart...had said the cruel truth aloud...and he felt better than he ever had after that fateful night when Shagun had walked out. He felt his old self walk right back into the gaping hole recently vacated by his ego...pride...blind love...& pure spite. Raman couldn't contain his feelings...he felt grateful for her being there with him...with them...helping him reconnect with his own blood...relive life again. As he pulled her into his arms and leaned his head against hers, she melted inside his hug. His arms reached around her and he held onto her tightly. The warmth from his body touched hers, and she closed her eyes as she felt an overwhelming sensation come over her. She couldn't describe how his hug spoke with a language that her heart could understand so clearly. He seemed to be telling her he loved her without speaking, a secret energy enveloping them both, coming from their hearts. She felt her heart nearly burst with the rush of feelings, all of them deep and strong like a swift river swirling inside her. She hugged him tighter, reaching her hands around his shoulders and leaning her cheek against his. His cheeks were hot to the touch, and instantly the two of them blended together into a single figure as they held onto each other, trying to find some way to hold onto the moment forever. The moment that had come after years of waiting...and searching...the moment that was soo fragile...that it kept threatening to die forever.
