U can fast the last 10 days b4 this eid, but it's not compulsory ( farz), my grandma ties to fast but as she was sick this time, she could'nt keep them all. But it's Farz(must) 2 fast in the month of Ramadan.

Hmmm, Eid's a time to take many delicious goodies, like biriyani, polao, firni, shemai & lots of other foods. Like 2day, i'll go to my cousin's house 2 meet them & maybe 2morrow 2 my grandpa's house 😊 SO, I always gain xtra weight during eid days...😔 Still, it's the most joyous time for us, cuz, Eids r the only days for us, when all of our family members can be 2gether.

U know, so busy this world has bcome, we hardly have time 2 meet others

^^^^ my brother who I always talk about as we all live together, he is just like late elder brother. This brother plays dholak at events years ago they had their music group and participated in competitions. Now all got married so no time so group dispersed.

BUT they continued to provide free music to temple organised navratri for years. Afterwards when mandir people started entrance fees, my brothers group took objection to that as they felt navratri should not be commercialised so stopped providing music.

He now mostly plays manjira's at bhajans and sometimes plays dholak if need be. His bhajan mandli do not charge. If people who hold bhajan want to pay something, they take it must give to charity. They get invited when somebody has died, or people who want to hold bhajans for celebrations etc. they will go straight away and tell people they do not charge upfront.
