Lata's first marrige did not work becuase her husband,Samarjeet,never loved her.He just used her for money becuase she was Takhur's daughter,neither did he let her speak to her family often.After they became bankrupt,Samarjeet started mistreating her,she was not allowed to stay in the smae room with him,and whether he was drunk(almost all the time) or not he would beat her.Eventually she left and came to her maayka's place.Samarjeet joined hand with Vimala nd Sankar(who were both evil back then) to cause trouble for the family.Lata found out she was pregnant,but Samarjeet killed the child.And there was alot of drama with the divorce...Eeventually he ended up i prison and Lata was finally safe. 😊

When Dev and Koyal truth came about,Lata was shattered and Raj agreed to marry her.

She saw the Pundit on the floor chanting some mantra and Shaili in bridal wear crying.There was also a baldhead man on the other side who she could not identify(it's Karan😔) and Shaili Babhi also fell to the ground.
