Suhasi and Karan on Navaratri

With the Navratri festivities getting underway across the country, everyone seems to be getting set for dandiya celebrations, garba and of course, Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja and Saraswati Puja for three days each.

We catch up with some of the most popular faces on Television as they reminisce about Navratri.

Suhasi Dhami (Abha of Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli)

Every year I look forward for Navaratri, the day it gets over. As a child I made sure I have 9 new dresses for all 9 days of Navaratri. I remember playing Garba even if we had exams the next day. I have a huge group of 35-40 friends in Mumbai and every year without fail we would meet up and play garba together. Navaratri is special because I love dancing and this is the only time of the year when I would meet all my friends, who I cannot meet any other time of the year due to hectic shooting schedules.

Karan Grover (Karan of Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli)

I am a horrible dancer and hence I do not go and play "Dandiya". I get very embarrassed when people around me dance gracefully and I am all clumsy with the steps. There is one particular incident which is etched in my memory when I was an Event Management student and I was a part of a Garba event where Karishma Kapoor was the guest of honor. Throughout the evening I kept on admiring her beauty and still remember the way she greeted everyone and distributed gifts. I think that was the only memorable "Dandiya" of my life.
