Quick question:

Would you consider yourself married had you been in Abha's shoes? Was it truly a wedding?

The issue is that a marriage has taken place, but since there is no "yes" or "no" required and no witnesses except Jagmohan, does that suggest a wedding has taken place? I don't quite understand the rules of a Hindu wedding ceremony as I have seen alot of mixed viewpoints on this. In the KB forum the marriage of Simi and Abhi was seriously questioned. Some didn't think it was authentic while others said something else. It's still a cause of contention and it continues to be so. I think this will be the case here. If you respect your faith and any of your marriage has taken place under religous rules, even against your wishes, then it is important to make sur eyou take what religious steps are necessary to end the marriage.

ofcors yes!..it was a wedding and in our culture the seven pheras are of prime importance....sindoor was put even..so the wedding was surely true..and even Abha accepts it...

Jagmohan also accepts it that is y he was scared and didnt want anyone to know about the marriage

With Karan, yes.................He is such a sweet husband..............On a serious note, there is no witness or legal evidence 4 the wedding..............they should quickly get it registered............else Jags can easily sue Abha.........

My concern was that without the pandit and the mantras, the Ganesh pooja, repeating certain mantras, etc., the ceremony seems hollow.

it was a wedding.
CVs have shown this wedding in a very aesthetical manner. Like someone put turmeric on her face accidently...she got her mehndi done...she was wearing a red saree....as for the witness karan's father and Abha's Grandfather's portrait was present.

Karan took the pheras at a very auspicious time just when the pheras were taken place in the hall.

They showed that grooms followed the brides while taking pheras...In ABHARAN case, Abha was holding Karan's hands during the entire process.

I must applaud CVs for presenting this scene in the most beautiful manner.

I would def consider myself married. A wedding has taken place because the saath pheres were taken around the fire, and infront of god. Sindoor was applied. I don't know exactly what the veda's say about a wedding but from what I know this would be considered a wedding.

well the CVs really used their brains because technically it is a valid wedding because the mantras were being recited by legit priest downstairs..
