judging not always consistent!

Yes I do feel this more and more. The judging has not always been consistent so far. There were pretty average singers who ended up being chosen in the mumbai auditions and also in the delhi auditions. Already a bit in Delhi with one particular girl whose mother was obnoxious and sang horribly, can't remember her name right now who was certainly not great but not that much worse than some of the selected contestants from mumbai and more so in Indore and Ahmedabad as also in Kolkata, the bar set seems to have suddenly gone up much higher. Initially only completely besura singers were refused entry and later on with that girl in delhi for the first time it was not just besura singers and then today in kolkata the girl who sang udi I felt did an amazing job and I was shocked to hear sonu nigam come up with a no in no uncertain terms as he just spoke about flaws and didnt have a single encouraging word for her. He had earlier on also said no to some others to whom the other two judges said yes. In the mumbai auditions all three were unanimous with all the singers selected except for the blatantly besura ones.

she gave it her own personal touch and yes no comparisons with sunidhi chauhan. She didnt copy. Yes she didnt have thehrav etc but she did her own interpretation of the song that's what I felt!!

Yes, even I was shocked when he said no to her. He said yes to the contestants who're much weaker than her. They should follow the standard marking scheme for every states. I hope after clarification and filtration we can have a nice polished diamond.

I completely agree. 👏 If they selected all the average singers, they should've selected her too. I feel bad for her, she worked so hard for it, and granted that she was plain average, if others got in, she really deserved it!

yeah, i agree too! they're are not consistent. i thought there were quite a few people that had potential to grow that they didn't take. some of the people i still wonder why they were taken.

Some of the average singers went in and some went out. We cannot expect the judges to be the same all the time. I think if the general standard at one location is not so high, then the average ones will have a higher chance.

Well not everything is shown on TV, generally the judges are quite encouraging and fair.
