Absolutely! Most of them messed up pitching, there were few strikingly gifted voices. Worst still, they barely had anything different, the so-called X factor.
I'm not asking for playback quality singing, but there's barel any contestants who appear educated in vocal music. For the sake of the show I hope that they're hiding some of the best singers for the next level and just showing like a trailer at the auditions.

I do not understand at all! Why don't people look up the format at first? It is not about necessarily of finding Sunidhi's and Sonu's from the general population, it's about finding singers who have even a little bit of potential and nurturing that potential under the supervision of the judges!

Agreed...plus X Factor looks much more entertaining than other singing shows ...we watch it for entertainment anyway 😆 SRGMP may have better quality singers but it bores me đŸ„±

Is X factor a pure singing show with a X factor [what is that? definition]??or a singing entertainment show?

What ever it is, my feeling veer towards it falling into the mode of the usual previous reality singing shows soon enough.😭

I don't see much hope for indian singing shows, however well they are packaged and proclaim to be different, at some point, it is the same old story.😭

I am hoping am proved wrong this time, at least

I did find one thing disappointed.
Indian Idol used to show a lot of auditions back to back. however we don't see more than 5 ppl per city in X Factor auditions.
Then in next round then will have 100s of contestants which we never heard or seen of.
