And the frustratingly domineering nature of the male protagonist... I still can't understand why is there so much hype regarding the series?

UGH. I DON'T LIKE THIS ONE. AT ALL.

Not only is it poorly written, the guy is just plain abusive. He's so f**king controlling. I hate him. And, don't even think about reading the books from his POV. You'll curse him to the deepest pits of hell. I made the mistake of browsing through it. I leafed through a few pages. Yes, just a few pages. And it was just... Ughhh. So bad.

I read I'm Single & So Is My Girlfriend and swore off his books.

But, you know what? He's actually really funny and articulate on Twitter. So, my friends and I think he writes this shit cause it sells.

I hope so. Otherwise it's really unsettling; the contents of his book I mean. 🤔 I wish he chooses other tricks to make his stories best sellers and stop writing one after another such insensitive stories. 😳

I love the book too. It's rare when I get a chance to read books by Indian authors and this one is undoubtedly one of my favourites.😊

P.S. - It's truly a sad news. Hope your brother is doing well now.

Fifty Shades of Grey - The trilogy is beyond me.

Mortal Instruments series - Cassandra Clare - I read the first two books, do not understand why this series is so hyped up.

Divergent series - Seems like a kid's book to me now. 😆

I thought I was the only one. It was so poorly written. I cringed throughout my reading of the books.
