I made this thread for sharing this poem but then I changed my mind to make this a thread a place to share my random and short pieces of writings in the Writers Corner. 😊

Poem: To Do

To touch every leaf in a branch,
and to not let them fall on the ground before they blanch.
To hug a tree like it is a huge living teddy bear,
and to feel like there is nothing to fear
To watch a little bee sucking honey from a flower,
and to wait for the nature to open its shower,
To listen to music of a running stream,
and to understand its scheme,
To stand on the top of a mountain,
and to open mind's creativity fountain
To jump into a waterfall,
and to roll into water like a ball

These were all she wished,
do you know anything she missed?

Understand

She couldn't understand Mary
She always had choices that always vary
She stood silent when she should fight
She never felt her future would be alright
She fought when she should be silent
She wasn't weak but resilient
She felt awkward to not to know herself
She had no books about her on her bookshelf

The only person who she couldn't understand even a tiny bit on the earth was herself. If you give her an imaginary situation and ask her what she would do, she would say she doesn't know. Trust me, she doesn't lie. It is the truth. She doesn't know what she would do. She has seen herself being bold when she expects her to stay silent and bear the torture. She has also seen herself acting like a coward when she should have fought in the front. She definitely didn't know how she would react in a particular situation. She couldn't know it from her friends or family. She couldn't learn it from books or internet. How awkward would it feel to not know oneself inside out!

What a brilliant scribble, as you call it 👏
This is the ripe phase of the existential crisis. I can understand her, for I went through the same thing myself. Now, I am out of it and happier than ever.

Amazing Nive :)

Mud Puddles

It had stopped raining only 2 minutes ago. Krishna was walking home with his daughter. Since he closed his umbrella, he couldn't keep his daughter in control.

"Are you a frog?", asked Krishna looking at his 10 year old daughter.

"Why Papa?", asked Priya hopping around while Krishna was trying to walk with her.

"People try to avoid mud puddles and you look for them to jump in"

"Isn't it fun Papa? People love rain. This is also rainwater na?", asked Priya with a curious face.

Krishna laughed at his daughter's crazy love for water.

Race

She was riding her cycle in a race
with wind blowing against her face
Downwards slopes didn't make her scared
for she knew adventures can't be barred
Upward slopes didn't let her fly
but it wouldn't make her cry
She was just a girl
who wanted to go around the world in a swirl

Your Side

"I wish to be by your side", she says.
I tell her that she could only wish but never do.
She asks me whether I believe that she is not on my side.
I tell her to stop joking.
She demands me that she needs to know.
I tell her that she always finds mistakes in me.
I tell her that whenever there is an argument, she always picks the other person's side.
I tell her that she is never content and she always wants more from me.
She tells me, "See, you know all this. Now tell me, Am I not on your side?"
I am puzzled and my voice disappears.
