Alas, Destiny Played A Cruel Game With All The Three Sisters - Amba Was Rejected And Humiliated By The King Of Shalva, While Vichitraveerya Died Of An Incurable Disease.

Very Simple and concise way to put it!

It comes here according to timeline, but is narrated in the Udyoga Parva I think. You can ask Vrish for more info. He is the expert on Parvas.
