In True Love with...
Holding his (Happiness) hands, the days went by,
I chirped like a lil' bird
With hopes brimming, to fly high!
For with him,
Each morning promised life,
The day seemed more bright
Love-laden were my evenings,
And mirth rolled through the night!
But a sudden aghast!!!!!
A cold breeze blew
That tested our togetherness,
& found he was untrue'''''.
Yesss'he was not true
Happiness was a traitor!!!!!!
Who MOVED ON, with feathers trimmed?
Ahh! Why did I trust such a cheater?????
Was our togetherness unreal?
Or he "MY happiness";
This puzzle could never be solved
He vanished as if a mirage!
And colors from life's canvas dissolved''.
As I was forwarding,
Towards the darkness of dejection,
I felt someone clinching me tight,
He was PAIN, who shared my loneliness
And gave me the vigor of fight!!
He didn't hold my hand, (unlike happiness),
Instead entwined his finger with mine,
& said ' "I shan't leave you easily honey",
Shuddering me,
Imbibed his presence, divine!!
Divine, as it was he (Pain),
Who helped me connect with the supreme
PAIN discovered the warrior in me,
And made me REALIZE MY DREAM!!
His best gift was not some gold or silver!
But drops of pearls in my sullen eyes
That taught me play fair, by washing my inner self;
Re-defining, 'lost me', amidst those cries
Pain made me realize...
Happiness is just an occasional infatuation,
FEEL IT, let it go in vain!!!..
But life smiles and dances, only when
You fall in True love with PAIN!!!
