The narrators thoughts are expressed wonderfully. I am glasd that you think so :) Although some of his emotions for the gal is sympathy, Yup, he is like other people..sympathizing just because she is blind...he likes her personality, Yup, he is learning that there is more to her than her blindness...regardless on her lack of eyesight. Hmm..The conversation between the two are well written, Thank you *shy* even though it's harder for me to comprehend (since it's meant to be in Hindi.) Oh! I am so sorry...i didn't knew that you didn't know typical Nawabi hindi...But no worries, I get better at the language. Hmm...you would...it's a royal one...

I felt embarrassed. How in the world, should I answer that? How to tell her that I thought that a blind person can't live alone?

Before I could continue, she herself answered.

"Aapko laga ki ek andhi ladki, akele is ghar mein kaise reh sakti hai."

Now I was really embarrassed. Not only had I underestimated her, but also I had invited her to her own house.

"Woh...humara matlab yeh nahi tha...par..."

She again cut me in my mid- sentence. She had a serene look on her face.

"Hum jaante hain...aapka yeh matlab nahi tha. Aap bas soch rahe the ki hum akele kaise reh sakte hain. Sach kahein, toh humne kabhi nahi socha tha ki humare saath kabhi aisa hoga. Humare paas kehne ke liye, sirf humare baba hi the. Hum bahut pyaar karte the unse. Par jis accident ne humse humari aakhein cheeni, usi hadse ne humse hamare baba ko bhi cheen liya."

A sad and desolate look came on her face. I wanted to stop her from torturing herself, but still...she continued.

"Arth ji, sach kahein...toh humein baba ki aadat ho chuki thi. Ek saath apna sab kuch kho dene ki vajah se humein bahut takleefein hui...par phir humne haar nahi maani. Kyunki, joh bina koshish ke hi apni haar maan leta hai, us insaan ka jeena kya...aur marna kya. Isiliye humne bhi jeene ki aadat daal li. Sach kahein, toh ab humein hamari zindagi se mohobbat hai. Aur ho bhi kyun na? Aakhir kaar zindagi milti toh ek hi baar hai. Toh phir use hum gam mein kyun bitayein? Choti choti cheezon mein apni khushii dhoondh lena hi toh zindagi hai. Aur phir, humare naam par mat jaaiye...hum jitney nazuk dikhte hain...utne hum hain nahi."

Truly, she wasn't like any other girl I have ever seen in my entire life. Her vision for the world is so different. She has all the reasons to grief and hate her life, while she has chosen to do the opposite.

"Wow...aapka is duniya ko dekhne ka nazariya kitna naya aur alag hai."

She shrugged her shoulders and a heavenly smile graced her lips.

"Hmm...who toh hai. Aur humein aisa kyun lag raha hai ki aap apni pareshaaniyon se bhaag rahe hain? Hum yahan par aapki baat karne aaye the...na ki apni. Toh zara baat ko kam palatiye aur bataiye ki aapko kya takleef hai?"
