Kyun - Chapter 20
"Kyun, Kyun?" Priyanca murmurmed in her sleep. She violently awoke from her nightmare, and got a hold of her self.
It was just a dream. One more of Priyanca's never-ending dreams, or rather nightmares.
It was 6:59, a minute before her alarm clock went off. Priyanca turned off the alarm and stepped out of bed. She stretched, and lazily made her bed. She walked up to her closet and chose her usual favorite; a pair of blue jeans, a pink t-shirt and a purple cardigan sweater. She went over to her jewellery box and pulled out a pair of silver hoop earrings, a silver ring with an Om sign engraved on it, and a thin silver chain. Priyanca walked over to her shoe rack and picked out a pair of silver flats. Priyanca dragged herself to the bathroom and brushed her teeth, took a shower, and dried her hair. She got dressed and pranced out of her room into the kitchen. She ate a cold bowl of milk and sweetend corn flakes, and grabbed the keys to her car. It was her second day at her Journalism Course, and so far her spat with Sakshham had just begun.
She hopped into her car and selected her favorite song from her iPod; Kambakkht Ishq Cheez Hai Hi Aisi. Her car slowly crawled through London's busy hustle-bustle traffic, making her late to class. She ran to the elevator, which just so happend to be out of order. Frustrated, Priyanca kicked the useless elevator and run up the stairs to her class. Exhausted, she opened the door to class and accidently slammed it.
"Priyanca! You're late." said the Professor.
"I'm _ I'm sorry!" Priyanca gasped, catching her breath.
"Yes well, make your way to your seat. Quietly!" the Professor said with a frown.
Priyanca made her way to her seat, and glared at a smirking Sakshham.
"What?" Priyanca asked Sakshham, watching his unchanging face.
"What, What?" Sakshham said cooly.
"What's so funny?" Priyanca asked impatiently.
"Oh... Nothing! It's just you really should have tested to see if the elevator works. Who knows, you could've made it to class if you weren't to stupid." Sakshham said with a straight face.
"What do you mean?" Priyanca said rolling her eyes.
"You know what I mean... The elevator isn't out of order you goof. I put that sign." Sakshham said grinning from ear to ear.
"You WHAT?" Priyanca said, forming her hand into a fist.
"Chillax. A little excersise never hurts." Sakshham said lifting his shirt sleeve up to his shoulder, showing off his muscles.
"Oh Please!" Priyanca said, a little too loudly, making the Professor turn around from the chalk board.
"Priyanca! Behave yourself!" the Professor said angrily.
"Y-Yes sir." Priyanca mumbled.
...
Soon it was time for lunch, and the class shifted from the classroom to the cafeteria. Priyanca and Isha sat together, and soon Sameer and Sakshham joined them.
"What is your problem Saksham?" Priyanca asked angrily.
"I dunno." Sakshham said taking a bite out of his cheese and tomato sandwich.
"Well I dunno either." Priyanca said rolling her eyes.
Priyanca ignored Sakshham for the rest of the day, throughout lunch, the second part of the class, study time, and a break for tea/coffee. She did her best to stay away from Sameer too, as she knew where Sameer was Sakshham was there too.
"Priyanca, why are you and Sakshham so... so... you know!" Isha said giggling.
"He's just so annoying! It's like his life-long dream is to annoy me." Priyanca said taking a sip of her steaming mug filled with a frothy capaccino.
"You know that isn't true Priyu. Just forget him. Anyways, have you started your paper yet?" Isha said taking a bite out of her golden-brown scone.
"No. Have you?" Priyanca said doing the same.
"Yup. But I just barely started yesterday." Isha said taking a sip of her steaming mug of black tea.
"Haha. Anyways, I should get going. I better get started on the paper if I wanna do well." Priyanca said picking up her purse and sipping the remains of her coffee.
"Bye Love!" Isha said, hugging Priyanca.
Priyanca waved, and walked out the door to her car. She opened the car door, and put the key in the ignition. Her car wouldn't start. She tried again. It wouldn't start. She tried a third time. It simply wouldn't start.
""Hey!" Sakshham said walking by Priyanca, heading towards his own car. "Wanna ride?"
"Really?" Priyanca said raising her eyebrow.
"Of Course!" Sakshham said smiling.
"Really?" Priyanca said, not sure if to believe Sakshham.
"No!" Sakshham said laughing.
He twirled his keys in his hand and ran over to his car.
"Life my friend, is anything but a bed of roses." Priyanca thought to herself.
