The whole time, Meera is just wondering about what's happening, but decides to just let it go and enjoy the moment. They walk to the car together, both look at each other before getting in and just stand there smiling at each other for a second.

Meera blushes and they both get in the car. It was awkward so Meera decided to play music, yeh ishq hai was playing on the radio which made Meera smile. She tells Jai, "I LOVE this song. It always makes me want to get up and dance, and its soo beautiful, I love the lyrics too." To which Jai says, "eh, its ok. Your typical girl song."
Meera responds, "sure, whatever. Where do you live? so I know where to drop you off."
"I live near the university, I'll let you know the way when we get close."
"Ok."

The music keeps on playing and its quiet for a bit.. Jai looks like he wants to say something, but doesn't say anything. "You look like you want to say something."
"Me?"
"No, the windows."
"Very funny."
"Is there something you want to tell me?" asks Meera, wondering what he could possibly have to say. Is he going to ask her out? Why else would he randomly ask her for a ride and leave his own car at work?
"Hm, well. You're probably wondering why I asked you to give me a ride."
"Yeah, why did you ask?"
"I just wanted to make sure you were ok. You seemed a bit upset."
"I'm fine, Jai. Don't worry about me."
"Well.. this is going to sound a bit.. conceited.. but you weren't jealous of Naina, were you?"

This question made Meera turn her head, "you thought what?! Why on earth would I be jealous of her?"
"I don't know.. I just got this feeling.. maybe you felt left out of the conversation.."
"Oh, I don't feel anything of the sort, thank you very much."
"Turn left."
"Huh?"
"Turn left at the next corner, my apartment is on the right."
"Oh, ok."

After parking the car, Meera says, "there you go."
Jai gets out of the car and apologizes, but she says its ok..
"No, really. I'm really sorry if I offended you."
"It's fine, Jai."
"Is it really?"
"YES. Now go home! and let me go home too."
"Ok, fine, come pick me up before work. We'll go together."
"When did I say we'll go together?"
"I just did.. and I need to pick up my car, right?
"Oh.."
"duh," he gently smacks her forehead and walks to his apartment. She waits there for long after he's gone inside, then drives home for a long night of homework.

Sorry, I haven't been in a very romantic mood lately. But promise to update in two weeks (after finals) and it will be the most romantic thing you've ever read. (now I'm bluffing haha).
