It's now clear to us and Aditya that he has feelings for Jhanvi. And he wasn't really surprised at the fact either.

IMO ever since Jhanvi came back after he had gone to her house drunk, he has been thinking, unsettled about what their relationship could possibly mean.

Babasa voiced it clearly to him and he thought about it further. He denied it to babasa, but internally he was very well aware of the possibility and started seeing things in that light only. Hence the way he was looking at Jhanvi when she bandaged him, and his reaction to Babasa when he saw that Babasa had seen them. Aditya's awkward silence wasn't a denial or telling Babasa stop with your imagination. It was more of a 'I know what you are thinking, but I don't want to talk about this.'

With this in his mind, it's why he was so restless and bothered at the fact that someone else may be in the picture. There is no surprise or wondering from him on why he's bothered. He is curious and he knows it. It's like, when the first stages of possible romantic interest, possibility came, suddenly oops, there may be another guy in the picture.

His wish at the shed clearly wasn't really about tea, but something which was there but he couldn't voice it, address it or bring up. 1) because it's not completely settled for him yet regarding Jhanvi and 2) because she's giving hints of another guy in the picture

It's becomes completely clear to him with his dream sequence (and it had to be his dream sequence, I was waiting for it to be his dream sequence that if it were shown to be Jhanvi's I would have been like' W*F), and he's not really that surprised after he's brought out of his dream. The question of his feelings becomes settled for him after this. And so, he continues to look at her and admire her, accepting it, even if not sure about what Jhanvi feels on her end.

He sees that Jhanvi has remembered his birthday. Now the question is if the last part is a fake out by the makers to us, or if it was real. It very well may be real, but even if it is, he may backtrack, especially due to not knowing about Jhanvi.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. And that gift was obviously for Aditya, so will Jhanvi get the chance to give it to him? And if so, he should obviously realize that there is no guy. Plus the birthday party the family have planned would be the perfect excuse for her secretive calls and lies to him about the calls.

Jhanvi has perfect excuse to explain away her lies without admitting to him that it was all her and Babasa's ruse.😆

Actually, more likely they'll get interrupted than Aditya backtracking.

Oh you got to the episode before I did, but now that I've watched I have quite a few things to say as well.

Firstly what opposites! We have Nisha on one side who is at home and in the gazebo in this rainy weather setting up a lovely birthday surprise for Aditya. It's beautiful, it's romantic, it's what anyone would love to have from their special one. On the other side we have Aditya and Jhanvi, stuck in the rain, sitting in a broken up garage, waiting for a mechanic, and dirty and wet. Not the type of place anyone would want to get stuck in. Yet Nisha is all alone, waiting, getting angsty, losing her surprise, and sad. And we have Aditya and Jhanvi who manage to make the most of the situation and celebrate Aditya's birthday with a pao and a single candle on a newspaper.

What I really enjoyed about the episode, and you got it bang on, was the way viewers were shown that Aditya loves Jhanvi as well and it didn't really surprise him. I loved that dream sequence of his. I actually forwarded through it the first time because I kept thinking it would be another one of Jhanvi's dream sequences, but when I saw that it was Aditya's I went back and watched it. And it was just so sweet. Because once it was over, he didn't look around in surprise, but just the knowledge that it was indeed a dream. And then he admired Jhanvi without making it obvious.

One thing I had kept complaining about was how quickly Babasa was pushing Aditya to get remarried and then putting forth Jhanvi's name. But now I realize that it wasn't quick at all. Because one thing that struck me today was when Aditya said that he hadn't celebrated his birthday for so many years because it didn't feel special to him. He's been suffering for so many years with Nisha that even his family wasn't special enough for him anymore. But the fact that he celebrated it with a pao in a garage makes Jhanvi special.

I hope he doesn't backtrack tomorrow. I'm pretty sure they'll get interrupted. But he had indirectly already called Jhanvi special so saying it directly shouldn't be something to correct or backtrack on. And if he does backtrack then I hope it's gracefully done, opening up the floor to both confessing their love together.

Aditya and Jhanvi's relationship so far has been very beautifully shown (at least from when I started watching it). Yeah there are the typical Indian TV serial cliches, but still this is a show that isn't glorifying the "woh", but rather showing that sometimes the "woh" in a relationship is actually not a homebreaker, but a heart-repairer. In this show Jhanvi came into Aditya's life like a breath of fresh air to fill his life with love and care that he deserves. In the process they did make the characters black and white, but still the realism is quite nice to see. Aditya and Jhanvi's relationship is made up of little moments, not big sudden epiphanies, like bandaging a wound or cooking or getting the kids to eat or caring for each other's elders. And that's why I really hope that when Jhanvi confesses her love, Aditya reciprocates and it doesn't become an awkward situation where Aditya is still not ready to confess.

Getting back to today's episode I liked how it was only about Aditya, Jhanvi, and Nisha today, though they did show a bit of Babasa when he went after that shadow. The suspense is killing me, but one thing is for certain: Nisha knows nothing about this shadow. Let's hope this is some plan of Jhanvi's. Or if not, then hopefully when it's revealed who this person is he/she doesn't join hands with Nisha. That would be so typical it would ruin the show.

Turning to the precap. I liked the scene where Babasa sits with Aditya and explains to him why Jhanvi is perfect for him. It's just perfect. Obviously we only got a glimpse into it, but still it is perfect. I look forward to seeing the full scene tomorrow because it seems that Aditya understands and knows what Babasa is saying, but is hesitant to take the relationship forward probably due to the age gap and because he doesn't know if Jhanvi actually loves him or not given that there is another suitor in the picture. As for Jhanvi's side of the precap, I have a feeling that she won't get around to confessing her love or if she does, the lights will suddenly go off and she'll end up saying I love you to the shadow or Kakasa or someone. Again I hope that doesn't happen, but seeing a love confession so early on in the show seems a bit of a stretch considering how Indian TV shows work.

Anyways I'm starting to ramble, so I'll stop here.

Heh, no complaints from me on 'rambling.' It was a great read.

You always bring the symbolic aspects, and you did it again. The juxtaposition of Nisha and her Birthday surprise and the cake with Aditya'and Jhanvi and their setting and mock cake.

Yeah, I had complained last week about the 'illogical' characterization of Adi and the 'creepiness' of Jhanvi and Babasa, because I didn't trust a show to not go by the 'text' but by the subtext. What I mean by that is, textually Aditya told Babasa he and Jhanvi are just friends nothing more, Jhanvi and Jhanvi's mother kept saying the same--that Aditya sees her as a friend and just hasn't realized the love yet. But that is only if you go by the actual spoken lines, whereas if you look at it overall, there was more to Aditya than what he said out loud. That's the beauty of it, and the show handled it beautifully both last week and this week, where it's confirmed.

And yes, the way it played out and what Aditya said today showed that it wasn't too quick at all for Aditya. He's been suffering for so long and finally now he has something that breathes life back into him. It's really sweet and beautiful.

I hope he doesn't backtrack either, and I too am pretty sure there will be an interruption.

I hadn't seen the precap or known what it was when I wrote the topic. In fact, it was only after seeing your reply I just went and watched it. I know it's too much to ask for, but at least let Jhanvi give him that present even if she isn't able to confess. I don't know what to think of the show, because yeah they probably would throw something in the way to stop a confession. But at the same time, this show move at a refreshingly fast pace, so I don't know...

About the shadow. I'm just really hoping it's not Raj (or Neha). Or maybe he's doing it for some secret, good reason. But still...

Beautiful analysis made by KhatamKahani and of course Athene! You guys have taken the words out of my mouth! 👍🏼😆

It was indeed a perfect episode. One thing I would say is though we had our complaints about Babasa rushing Jhanvi to be his DIL it has indeed been led in a mature way. Babasa is proding Adi to think towards Jhanvi but he is doing it all by himself.

You have summed it up succinctly in three sentences. :) @Bold especially, as Athene said credit goes to SS and his acting plus those behind the camera as well for showing it the way they did.
