I know many of you don't like Vikas Gupta naming characters of his shows after his actors but it's like a small tribute from his side to some of his favourite people.
Parth's character Manik in KYY is named after Vikas Gupta's dad so I think we can assume he names the characters after the people he likes.
Ashwini also had a contract with MTV but now he's doing a show for Big Magic so their contracts are not really exclusive. Even Parth Samthaan hosts for Zing.
The others actors can do whatever shows on whichever channels they want to.
