I'd rather have all the couples' stories end on a cliffhanger note so that way we know that when S2 comes back it will be with the same cast, characters & pairs.

A happy ending scares me. That's the main reason I wanted this season to end with 80 episodes so that they wouldn't get time to complete all the stories.
