Vibha placed her hands in his and he helped her up. He grabbed the untouched plate of food and with the other he held her hand.
"Will you at least finish your food?"
"Hmm...I will think about it"
"Parth!"
"Sshh...the guard is coming this way"
Parth covered Vibha's mouth and moved them to a corner before the guard could see them. Vibha was petrified of being caught and clung to Parth's shirt as if bringing him closer would result in both of them becoming invisible. Her proximity, though, distracted Parth's attention away from the guard and his eyes were glued to her now. He carefully treaded his free hand into her hair and gently brushed her check. Vibha turned to look at him and felt the heat rise in her cheeks from the way he was looking at her. She tried to shy away but he held her face and brought it closer to his.
"Parth" Vibha meant for it to be stern but instead it came out as a soft whisper. Instead of moving away, Parth leaned in even closer to her and gently kissed her near her lips. Vibha dug her nails into his shoulders and closed her eyes.
"He is gone"
Vibha opened her eyes and looked up at him in confusion.
"Huh?"
"The guard! He is gone. We can head to your room"
"Right! Okay, let's go"
Parth once again took her hand in his and lead her towards her room. Parth avoided opening any of the lights in case it alerted the other teachers and felt his way around her room. As he placed in plate on her table, they heard a noise coming from the hall. Vibha quickly grabbed Parth by his shirt and pushed him behind her door. As Vibha peaked out to look at the cause of the noise, she spotted Kamini mam in a red sari with a silver plate in her hand. Curiosity getting the better of her, Vibha leaned out even more to look at the direction in which Kamini mam was headed.
"Mam!! Get back. What are you doing?"
"It's Kamini mam! She is all dressed up and has a plate with her and is heading outside the school"
"So?"
"So, I want to see what she is doing"
"Seriously! What does it matter where she is going?"
"I want to know, Parth"
"Vibha, no! We will get caught"
"I am going"
"Vibha! No!"
But instead of listening to Parth, Vibha quietly slipped out and headed in the same direction that Kamini mam had went.
"Seriously, I am supposed to be the student."
Parth cursed under her breath, but headed the same away as Vibha.

Hi,
How is everyone? Loved and thankful that we at least got a confession before the season is over. I also returned from my trip yesterday, so got a chance to finish the chapter but it is unedited. So sorry for the mistakes or bad grammar, but maybe it won't be too bad 😊
Chapter 4
Vibha placed her hands in his and he helped her up. He grabbed the untouched plate of food and with the other he held her hand.

As he placed the plate on her table, they heard a noise coming from the hall.

"I am going"
"Vibha! No!"
But instead of listening to Parth, Vibha quietly slipped out and headed in the same direction that Kamini mam had went.
"Seriously, I am supposed to be the student."
Parth cursed under his breath, but headed the same away as Vibha. They both watched as Kamini headed into the woods and followed closely behind. Kamini stopped at the tree with a red ribbon around tied to it and started doing circles around it while chanting something.
"Has she lost it? What is she doing" Parth whispered to Vibha.
It suddenly dawned on Vibha what Kamini mam was doing. She was following her dadi's instruction. Suddenly, she started struggling to control her laughter and dug her nails into Parth in attempt to regain some control. Parth just looked at her with even more confusion and that just added to Vibha's struggle to control her laughter. Just as she was about to burst, Parth quickly placed his hand on top of her mouth. Still, Vibha continued to laugh and had tears streaming down her cheeks. Parth wrapped his arms around her and let Vibha bury herself in his arms as she continued to shake from laughter and tried to smoother the noise from her laughing. Parth held her even closer and he could feel his pulse quickening. All of a sudden, Vibha's laughter stopped as she grew aware of how closely he held her. She slowly looked up at him to find him staring right back at her. Parth gently brushed his fingers along her cheeks and her colour seemed to deepen with even his slightest touch. Parth smiled a little as Vibha bravely lifted her own fingers to run along his lips.
"Yahan koi hai kya?"
Kamini mam's sudden outburst shocked Vibha causing her to fall back. But before she could fall, Parth grabbed her hand and roughly pulled her back towards him causing him to fall back against the tree. He hissed in pain while she cursed under her breath as she watched one of her slippers fall into the mud. As Kamini mam approached closer to inquire about the commotion, Vibha stood on Parth's feet and wrapped her arms around him. They both let out a sigh of relief as Kamini walked past their tree and headed toward the school. Despite or perhaps because of the tension and stress on Parth's face, Vibha broke out into a large grin.
"Why are you smiling? We almost got caught?"
"Because it is funny! Kamini mam praying for Karthik sir as her husband, us almost getting caught and me hopping on one foot and your expression"
"You are laughing at me. You know it may not be wise to laugh at the guy holding you and the only thing stopping you from taking a mud bath"
And to prove his point he let go of her for only a second and then he quickly grabbed her again.
"Parth!"
"Yes?"
"I swear, if I go down I am taking you with me"
"And I will gladly go with you. But let's try to avoid that tonight. I think we should head back before we both get caught"
Vibha nodded as she tried to grab his shoulder with one arm and hop forward. She looked at him expectantly but he just watched her hop with a smirk.
"Parth, are you going to help?"
"I would but I am really enjoying the view"
Vibha pouted and remove her arm from his shoulder and put it on the tree instead.
"Fine! Don't help"
Vibha pouted and looked away from him. He let out a small chuckle before picking her up and carrying her back. She just smile and looked up at him as he carefully carried her. She liked the way he held her. It was like she didn't seem to weigh anything to him, yet he held her with the upmost care. And he seemed to like the way she fit right into his arms. He liked the way she was so close to him. He liked the way she placed her arms around him. But most of all he liked the way she would snuggle into him. Parth carefully continue to carry her back to the school and quietly sneaked them into the teacher's quarters.
"I thought you weren't going to help"
Parth just smiled as he carefully placed her on the bed. He pulled out her sheets and tucked her in before getting ready to leave.
"You should get some sleep"
"You should finish your food"
Vibha held out the unfinished plate of food. Parth let out a sigh of defeat as he took the plate and quickly started finishing it.
"Done"
Parth placed the plate back with finality. Vibha smiled at his exaggeration of the task.
"Thank you"
Parth looked up at her with an expression of thought. He moved towards her bed and kneeled beside her. He tangled his fingers with hers.
"You really care about me, don't you?"
She looked up at him and untangled her fingers from his. She placed her hand on his chest and she could feel the quickening of his heart. She smiled at the mirrored effect that she had on him.
"Yes!"
That simple answer weighed with truth and value of the emotions between them both. They were both aware of the depth of their feelings, but also of the fact that it wasn't the right time to express it openly. So, instead Parth swallowed the words that were at his lips and gently kissed Vibha's cheek before getting up. He leaned against the door and looked back at her. He turned off the lights, but he could still see her eyes in the light streaming from her window.
"You should get some sleep"
"And you should head back to your dorm"
"I will. But I just want to stay here a little longer. Sleep"
"Parth..."
"Just a little longer and then I will go"
Vibha sighed in defeat and instead of following his instruction, she just continued to stare right back at him. They continued to look at each other. It wasn't an attempt to memorize each other's features or to convey emotion. It was simply because now they could look at one another without hesitance. The simple acceptance of mirrored feelings between the both of them had freed them from all norms.
Parth hadn't realized how long they had stayed like this until he saw the sliver light slowly turn a soft orange. He realized that it was already tomorrow. And when he looked back at Vibha, her eyes were still wide awake and gazing at him. He sighed as he knew he should leave so they could both get what little sleep they still could. So he unwillingly turned and left.
Parth hadn't slept at all, even after he returned to his bed. Despite the lack of sleep he wasn't tired, rather he was excited. For the first time in a very long time, he was truly excited. In his excitement, he was walking so fast that Utkarsh could barely keep up. Their first class was literature, after all.
"Parth slow down. We will be there even before mam"
And true to his words, they reached the class before Vibha. Parth was slightly disappointed by the lack of her presence, but he tried not to show it too much. Instead he took off his jacket and slumped down on his seat while Utkarsh took the seat beside him. Utkarsh continued to talk nonstop, while Parth stared at the door. Parth lit up slightly as he heard someone coming in, but disappointment washed over as he saw that it was just Angela. Angela strolled into class and took the seat right beside Parth. She smiled at him, but he just nodded in return.
"Hi!"
But instead of Parth replying, he just stared at the door. He wasn't used to feeling this restless, but he would have to accept it. He would have to accept it because he would feel this away every moment that Vibha was away from him. It was a small price. Still, he couldn't help the sad frown that was on his face as he watched the door.
While Parth stared at the door, Angela stared at him. She looked at him as if trying to figure him out. He still hadn't responded to her greeting, despite Utkarsh shaking him to try to get him to respond.
"Parth, ab iss ke saath bhi sadu maat ho. Hi, Angela"
Utkarsh replied smiling at Angela and she smiled back at him. Parth sighed. He just didn't feel like putting the effort in greeting or talking to others. He just wanted to wait in peace.
"Parth, you are very different from others, aren't you?"
The moment Angela said this, was the moment that Vibha chose to walk into class. She had been slightly nervous and very eager to see what today held for her and Parth. But the first thing she noticed was Angela sitting beside him and complimenting him. Her smile wavered as she looked at the trio in front of her. She slowly turned to look at Parth, and found him staring right back at her with a small smile. He didn't seem to notice Angela's hand almost touching his, or the fact that Utkarsh still hadn't stopped talking. All he seemed to notice was Vibha in her yellow suit and the smile she had for him. It took him back to the moment they had shared on the train. He remembered the anger that had engrossed him at the mention of his father. He remembered the depth of his rage and the regret he felt at almost hurting her. But most of all, he remembered all of the anguish vanishing as soon as he looked at her. Even in that moment, he didn't know how it was possible that all of that hurt just stopped. He still didn't know the reason she seemed to have the ability to make him forget the harsh reality of his life. But she did that for him. His own smile faltered as he watched her smile disappear.
She looked hurt and sad all of a sudden. He gives her a questioning look, but she just shakes her head. Parth continues to stare at her in confusion. But before he could ask her, the other students start walking in. He knew that there was no way he could concentrate on class and knew him staring at her from the front row would distract her. So he picked up his bag and jacket and ignoring both Utkarsh and Angel's looks he moved to the back corner. At least, from there he could watch her without being too distracting to her.
For the entire class, Vibha was aware of Parth's gaze. Him being in the corner only took him slightly away from her view and did absolutely nothing about him constantly being in her thoughts. But she tried her best to give a proper lecture. At the end of the class, Parth waited as the other students to shuffled out and leaving only Vibha and him. Parth started walking up to Vibha and she started gathering her things in a hurry to get away. But before she could, he grabbed her hand and pulled her against him.
"Kya hua?"
"Nothing"
Vibha continued to avoid his eyes and attempted to get her hand back. But Parth just held her. He feared that she had changed her mind about them, again. He just couldn't bear to go back to the way things were. He didn't know how, but he would never let them go back.
"Are you okay?"
"Tumhe kyun itni fikar hai?"
This angered Parth. He roughly turned her to face him and held her face close to his so that she could stare right into his eyes. She could see the rims of his eyes beginning to water slightly and feel the anger starting to build. But he took a breath and tried to calm himself.
"Mujhe fikar hai aur yeh tumhe pata hai"
But Vibha just glared at him defiantly.
"Tumhe Angela ki fikar nahi hai"
But before Parth could respond, Vibha stepped on his foot forcing him to let her hand go in shock. And before he could grasp what had happened, she ran out of the class. Parth kept staring at the door for the next few minutes, trying to figure out what had just happened. Then it dawned on him.
She was jealous. Parth couldn't help the big smile that was making its way to his lips. She was jealous and that too of a girl he barely noticed. He remembered all the times he saw her with Rishab sir and the turmoil he felt. He didn't think she would ever feel that way because of him. But today, it had happened. He didn't want her to feel this way, but it made happy to know that he had that much effect on her. Jealousy made her more vulnerable to expressing the feelings she had for him. And despite the price of an injured foot and angry glares, he enjoyed it. But he had to fix it quickly. He liked her jealous, but hated the fact that it caused her to run away from him.
He ran out of the class and headed in the same direction Vibha had and stopped in front of the staffroom. He could see her sitting beside Kamini mam and hear the scolding that she was getting from Kamini mam. This angered him. Anyone could clearly see the sadness resonating from Vibha and yet Kamini mam continued to scold her. He needed a plan to either get Kamini mam out or Vibha.
Parth walked into the staffroom with confidence, most of which he was faking. But before he could say anything, Kamini mam called his name out. And at this Vibha looked up at him and stared in horror as to what was to come.
"Balwan ji, what do you need?"
Parth grimaced at the nickname he was unwillingly tagged with. But he answered calmly.
I have a message for Vibha mam. Vibha mam, apko mam ne dance room mein bolya hai "
And before either of them could question him, he walked out without another glance. This confused Vibha to no end. Which mam needed her in the dance room, and why did they need her and why of all people they sent Parth. Vibha quickly got up and nervously headed towards the dance room. However, before she could reach the room she was pulled into the fire escape. She closed her eyes in fear and let out a scream. She found herself pushed against the wall and a hand resting on her mouth. She slowly opened her eyes to find Parth staring at her. As he saw the recognition set on her face, he removed his hand.
"Parth!"
But Parth didn't respond. Instead he looked out the hall to make sure no one had seen anything and closed the door before turning to look back at her. He took slowly steps towards her and she backed away from him until she hit the wall. She had nowhere to go, and Parth continued to move closer to her with each step. He placed his hand on both sides of the wall, effectively caging her in.
"Parth"
But he still didn't respond. Instead he inched closer and closer to her lips. She tried to push him away, but he remained just as close. He moved his face to the side and placed his cheeks against hers. He could tell she was blushing as he could sense her warmth against his own cheeks.
"Mujhe nahi accha lag jab app mujhse door baag ti ho"
